The Hyatt Regency may present itself as a 4–5 star hotel, but the in-room amenities fall well short—more like 3 stars or less. Instead of ceramic mugs or real glasses, there were only flimsy paper and plastic cups. No complimentary water, no minibar—just an empty fridge. The in-room coffee was the worst I’ve ever had in a hotel, made worse by a brand I’d never heard of. Unlike other high-end hotels, there was no complimentary coffee in the lobby either.
On the positive side, the hotel and rooms were exceptionally clean, and check-in/check-out was fast thanks to a well-staffed front desk. One nice touch: free Washington apples at check-in. But overall, the lack of basic amenities was disappointing.
