We loved catching a game at the local East Fife FC as well Pittenweem harbour and Anstruther which is a real and working east Fife harbour town.

Good
Elie has a beautiful beach and a lovely restaurant / pub called the Ship Inn. Kilconquhar castle is also not far from St Andrews - highly recommended for the historic beauty, abundance of restuarants, beach..and of course - golf!

Good
Visiting relatives, good area, within easy reach of beach and facilities required, e.g. shopping, etc.
"Very nice hotel only 3 min from the waverly train station and close to all the attractions. Hotel staff is very friendly specially the waiters at the breakfast counter . Very clean and spacious room . I highly recommend "
"The location is everything! Really nice kitchen. Good use of a small space. I wish I had brought my own toiletries. No conditioner provided. Body gel/shampoo had strong smell. Towels were rough, but did the bob. The shower half wall-helped create a daily flood. We couldn’t keep the spray contained. "
"The hotel is very convenient for Murrayfield and Haymarket train station. We had a triple room which was spacious, clean and very comfortable. The shower was great, too. We chose to have the buffet breakfast included in our stay. The food was tasty and really did set us up for the day. Would definitely stay again when visiting Edinburgh."
"Front desk guys were very welcoming , friendly and helpful! The staff in charge of the kitchen not so kind , they were somehow rude to help when asked a question During breakfast time .
Good location. Not so close by foot to the city center, but easy access by buss which stop it right outside the hotel. We had a great stay overall. "
