Lafayette Cape May
Great view from the balcony of the ocean and beach on a mild December day. Walking distance to restaurants and shopping. Negative - walls are too thin. The old couple in the next room watched the news loudly throughout the entire night and were talking loudly. They Never turned themselves off or the TV. My husband banged on the adjoining door to clue them in. Not a good experience. NO sleep for us.

One night stay
Nice hotel spacious clean very convenient to everything good restaurant and a good bar. We only stayed one night for an event we were attending, but we definitely be back for a weekend trip thinking of going to Cape May. This hotel is a very good choice

The Marquis de Lafayette is quickly becoming my go-to hotel for trips to Cape May. Friendly staff, great location, and well positioned rooms. I look forward to another stay or two in 2025.

It was a nice stay. The staff were very friendly. We liked that there was live music and and outdoor bar open even though it was off season. The room had a livivg room area with a pullout couch and chair. A kitchenette with mini cooktop, microwave, fridge and sink. Modern bathroom with toiletires. One downside, Shower water pressure is not very strong. The balcony had 2 rocking chairs and a table over looking the pool and a view of the ocean. Great location! We parked our car (includes one spot) and walked to everything.

Old but frindly.
The staff were very friendly. This hotel is very old and worn. The heater/ac unit was so loud. The bathroom was old and tiny. It was fine for a night but would not stay here again.

Your only playing for the location uf staying at this property. Room is small for 4 people. Bathroom was tiny. Worse then my first apartment 20 years ago. Place felt dated. For that price i would expect more.

Good Ocean view, close to most places. Bad Looks like the walls are paper thin, you could here everything special the people next door sounded like they were in your room and they started talking at 5 am did not shut up for hours, I had to clean the bathroom before taking a shower, Coffee machine had bugs, room needed clean. Staff need more training and they should be friendlier.

It’s a shame that we had to pay top dollar in the off season for a room that has noisy HVAC and no outlets to plug and charge phones and other electronics. Bathroom had no ventilation and and outlet on opposite wall of sink inches from the shower wall. Between the bathroom and main room there was two outlets and one was very hard to use unless your cords are long. Not at all what was shown on the pictures. I did not use housekeeping but when I moved the bed it was very dirty by the headboard. Will not be staying there again.
