Room was a bit cramped but beds were comfortable and had nice bathroom. Food in the pub was great value for money and very tasty with good variety. Staff were pleasant and courteous. Would recommend for short stays.

Helpful and efficient service.
Lovely hotel. Everything i needed in the room for my stay. I am on crutches at the moment and one of the staff helped me to my room with my bag. Had a small issue of a leak from my room ceiling but the staff handle it very quickly and gave me another room. Overall very happy with stay. Thank you.

A first class Budget stay in the historic gun quarter, great restoration of this circa 1800 pub with real home cooked meals and great prices, fed up with chain hotels, do this!!

Happy with my stay
For a budget stay, this was great. The hosts were friendly and helped me out with all I needed. Ideal for someone who wants a cost effective stay with the basics taken care of. Room was clean as was the bathroom. Bed wasn't very comfortable but was fine, I still slept ok. Overall, I would recommend and wouldn't hesitate to return if needed in the future.

Lovely room clean and comfy upgraded bathroom tv with tea and coffee. The only issue was the shower didnt drain properly amd water leaked outside the shower stall onto bathroom floor. Didnt really see staff other than to check in as breakfast wasn't included we didn't see anyone else but the room was lovely and its recommended if you just need a room for the night thats affordable x

Did the job
3 ladies staying the night for a theatre trip ,super cheap so wasnt expecting much ,bit of a walk from thr station but we found it Checked in at the bar ,a hello ladies would of been nice or how was yoyr journey but the lady who checked us in was very sour faced told us a bit of info but was about as cold as the weather outside Small room one single one double all very clean furniture dated but the room had a fab radiator which as it was snowing it was welcome Bath room very clean modern fitting and a nice shower towels bit on the small side for us ladys We all slept well so it did the job and £66 for all of us was fab

The Bull pub is lovely, good menu, well kept beers, staff are welcoming, and room well equipped for the price point. I couldn't sleep however, as above me in the building someone started washing clothes in a machine (possibly more than one given the frequency of this occuring) in the wee small hour of the morning through to about 7am. The spin cycles set the light fitting jangling like a glassware cupboard everytime so the room has its own built-in alarm clock that unfortunately couldn't be stopped. Such a shame because I really enjoyed the stay otherwise.
