We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Talkeetna Wilderness Lodge. We'd been traveling in Alaska for about ten days and wanted a quiet break before moving on. Our cabin was a perfect solution. We rested, walked the trails, watched the nearby river, and enjoyed the screened porch. After a cloudy day, we peaked outside that evening to find the aurora borealis making a show overhead. We grabbed chairs and watched from the nearly pitch-dark cabin area for nearly an hour before clouds moved in. What a great experience! The hosts were friendly and helped us to feel at welcome in their forest home.

Beautiful cabin not tooo far from Talkeetna. Our host had the cabin all ready for us. It was quaint and quiet. I highly recommend this property if you are anywhere near the area.

A very comfortable and clean cabin, very nature-like, and I really like the forest roads that I drive into. The facilities are very complete, and the design is very thoughtful. Unfortunately, the cabin is a bit small, and we have to coordinate the storage of 1 large and 2 small luggage!

The stand-alone cabins- thoughtfully outfitted-set in a tranquil environment made for a restful stay. The owner's hospitality was outstanding. One could wander the property's wooded trails to the nearby stream or join other guests at the nightly campfire. This is a perfect location for those wanting to stay at a bucolic property with access to nearby amenities.

Lovely cabin in the wilderness
This is a lovely property about 15 mins from town. We were in cabin 4 and Angie was amazing with communication and responsiveness. It was a long day of driving from Anchorage before we got there around 9pm and she was so helpful with suggesting dinner recommendations that fit my elder parents medical diet requirements. Thank you Angie for your help, care and communication. Cabin 4 is like being home. So tastefully decorated, quiet and warm.

We had the cabin on the end and we were very amazed when we arrived at how large it was. We also had a screened in outdoor area to set and enjoy a glass of wine as we watched for wildlife. The owner of the facility greeted me as we were unloading and invited me to have s’mores with them around the campfire later that night. After enjoying a wonderful dinner at a local family owned Thai restaurant we came back and spent some time on the trails where we saw lots of salmon in the creek! When we got back, the managers of the property were around the fire pit as well as another family that we got to meet over some s’mores. The owners then joined us and my wife and I really enjoyed how at home we felt with these new friends. I would highly recommend you stay here for a few days.

Beautiful luxury cabin in the woods
This was a beautiful, comfortable, new cabin in the woods with king bed and screened-in porch. The owners build a big fire in the fire pit and invite all the guests to come. It was fun meeting guests from all over the country.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The owners were friendly and helpful and pointed us to some walking trails and a private river access where we could fish. The owner let me borrow a fishing pole as mine was out of commission. The campfire at night was a nice way to meet the owners and other guests. The cabin itself was spotless with everything you could need—hot showers, kitchen with coffee and tea, extra pillows and blankets, a space heater and a fan. We could not have been happier with our stay.
