Check in - after a 4-hour drive through HEAVY traffic and construction and late for a wake service, I arrived at the front desk to find a sign - the staff person was "Helping another customer" and so I stood and waited - and when the young lady arrived her whole attitude was surly. Welcoming? Not a bit. Although the documents in the room say that no password is required for the wifi - turns out it is, but I had to call down, it was not provided as part of check in - even though there is a space on the envelope containing the room cards for that information.
Because of the government furlough situation I was considering staying an extra day - but my treatment at the front desk killed that idea very quickly. I write this before trying out the free breakfast - but I am not expecting much based on my experience so far.
I am in my 79th year - fortunately in good health since I was assigned a room on the second floor and there doesn't seem to be an elevator.
The bed is comfortable - the tv offerings are antique - whatever system they subscribe to is weak on offerings and awkward to use.
