This Hotel is overall lovely. Most of the staff are great and can not do enough for you. Food is ok, but not fantastic. Only one of the a la care restaurants was open whilst we were there and if you are coeliac (gluten free) it’s not good. Reminded me of a college restaurant run by students. The deluxe sea view room we stayed at, needs some deep cleaning, lots of thick dust on discreet ledges and cobwebs. When we arrived there was thick dark long hair in a clump at the side of the shower and a dirty towel in the luggage rack. Also water/soap marks on sink, taps, shower glass window and water marks on the tiles in the bar area. There was also two long dark long hairs in the bed and the pillow smelt of hair. Someone had used the room and this upset me. (Not a great start) Also a random piece of tile was used at the side of the sink near the skirting to hold something up. I took photos if needed. The guest services did manage to sort the room ‘surface clean’. I didn’t tell them all about the thick dust etc because I didn’t want to appear fussy. They were trying to help. Pool area is nice. Pool not heated. Nice indoor pool too. We decided not to participate in the New Year’s Eve gala, because you had to get a coach to it and share tables with other guests. Guest services were very helpful and offered to ring some local restaurants for us. They said they would come back to us…. Still waiting!
Also the air conditioning has been turned off for the winter, our room was boiling.
