I visited Vibe Hotel North Sydney for a 2 days 1 night stay from 1st March to 2nd March. Being a VIP member of Hotels.com, I am eligible for an early check in and late check out. Upon reaching the hotel, we were told that the system is down and we have to return at 3pm. We dropped off our bags and saw people checking in. We decide to call the hotel to check in on what's happening and to our surprise, they told us that we can actually check in. At 12.30pm, we went to check in and was given an access card but since the system is down, we can't access our room without the help of someone from reception to open our doors for us.
The room was decent but there were missing items from the so called pantry and we had to tell housekeeping to replenish it for us so that we won't be charged for not consuming them. Each time we request for something, they will take a long time to get to us and we have to go to reception to ask which is very inconvenient.
The system was down throughout our entire stay and we didn't have the flexibility to go in and out of our rooms as there are times where the receptionist is busy.
Being my first time in Sydney, it was a very unpleasant experience for me and I would never go back to a hotel which did not provide us with a fully ready room but a room which was half done.
