Lowcountry Charm

During our stay in beautiful Beaufort, SC, we had the pleasure of staying at the Anchorage 1770 — a stunning historic waterfront inn full of Southern charm. From the sweeping gallery porches to the cozy rooms and breathtaking views of the bay, it was the perfect Lowcountry retreat. The complimentary breakfast is wonderful and made to order.

Once again my husband and I stayed at Anchorage 1770 for the Beaufort air show. What a lovely, unique place to stay. From check in to departure, everything was wonderful. The rooms are special and unique. The bed was super comfortable and the upgraded bathroom was perfect. We enjoyed all the thoughtful touches that the owners manage to provide. Breakfast was delicious - compliments to the Chef!

Extrêmement décevant au regard des tarifs pratiqués. La chambre était plus que basique avec du mobilier de piètre qualité voire des chaises sales ! Peu voire pas d'amenities La terrasse sur laquelle donne nos fenêtres est accessible par tous les résidents (aucune intimité) Pas de parking dédié et accès avec les bagages pas très aisé, Accueil un peu "roots" et départ sans personne pour recueillir les clés voire commentaires

What a wonderful place to stay! Room was beautiful. Bed super comfy. Owners were lovely! So friendly!!! Loved the cookies at turn down. Morning breakfast was delish. Rooftop and porch were lovely and relaxing. Loved the view of the marina, water and sunset. Downtown Beaufort was one block away. Can’t say enough positive things!!!

Beautiful property, great breakfast and friendly staff. Location is excellent to walk the bay front and shopping areas in Beaufort. Parking was convenient. Enjoyed the honor bar and beautiful views from the top floor balcony.

The restaurant at the Anchorage 1770 has excellent food with seating on the patio. We made the mistake of not specifying outdoor seating when we made the dinner reservation. The hotel is beautiful and walkable within the historic district.

Lovely well situated stay

Amazing hotel with very friendly staff. The breakfast was amazing and included. If I had one suggestion it would be to wipe down the furniture on the porches on 2nd floor they never were cleaned during the 3 nights we stayed there.
