Beautiful location, but the access to the water is limited and the view is only accessible when down at the water's edge. The inn is not very accessible, and when asked for an accommodation the staff was brusque and unhelpful. Check in experience on the whole was poor -- as if "I'm really not happy to be here, and I'm sure not happy to help you." I fully realize all the limitations these days -- but being friendly, helpful and welcoming goes along way when the constraints are big.

This place worked well for my one-night business trip to the Wilton area. The lake access was nice, and I wish I had a little more time so I could have gone out in one of the kayaks. The room was clean and the area was quiet. Friendly and responsive staff. Would stay here again.

Very nice place. It has been around a while but well maintained. Great location, nice well groomed grounds. The personnel are friendly and helpful. While the rooms are small they are very clean, the beds and pillows were comfortable. Would stay there again without hesitation. Beautiful area of Maine.

Needed an affordable place relatively close to our ski destinations. This was the one that fit our needs. Wasn’t expecting much for continental breakfast. It still disappointed. Luckily found a great breakfast spot on the way to Black Mountain off Maine. Beyond that, place was dated but comfortable and clean. Checking in and out was easy enough. Didn’t get to explore the property but I’m sure the pond/ lake is beautiful.

Bel endroit près du lac mais c'est tout

Séjour d'une nuit, étape sur un parcours plus long. Emplacement très beau mais déçu par l'accueil pas super sympa. Le petit déjeuner se limite à boissons chaudes (café ou thé), appareil à gaufres uniquement le samedi et dimanche. Équipement chambre limité également : pas de chaise, pas de sèche cheveux (ennuyeux quand vous y êtes mi octobre et qu'il fait humide et 6⁰C le matin. Lit confort moyen avec coussins durs. Bref, hormis l'emplacement près du lac qui est très beau même sous la pluie en automne je choisirai un autre hébergement si une prochaine fois se présente

Bad experience

We asked for a room with a kitchen and breakfast. The owner didn’t accommodate our reservation requests and didn’t refund us for the service we paid for. That led to a whole series of problems with both Hotels.com and with the receptionist. Bad service. Bad experience.
