到鐘樓、鼓樓、回民街只需步行10分鐘。旅館在書院門裡，四周環境滿懷書卷味。狗兒沱沱也讓孤獨的旅者不再孤單。性價比是我住過最高的！

Staff are amazing and speak English. The location is great, but wrong on the map. The hotel is basic, but you get what you pay for. I would definitely stay here again.

Centralt, alm toilet, værelse i kælder uden aircon
Værelserne er i kælderen, hvilket kan mærkes på luftfugtigheden. Derudover er der kun en blæser på værelset og ingen aircondition. Der er fælles badeværelser med almindelige toiletter. Brusere er fine, lidt beskidt. Ligger centralt.

Lieu très sympa et agréable.
Lieu accueillant et personnes très à l'écoute. Propose des excursions. Situé dans un quartier sympa et agréable. Un peu de bruit le soir car au dessus d'un bar, mais la musique s'arrête à 23h ce qui est honnête. Les espaces communs sont sympas. Le tout mériterait un bon coup de ménage en profondeur, mais la propreté est correcte.

Not well maintained
Pictures in your record must be taken long time ago. Building in not well maintained. The whole building smells like a dog. Maybe you will like it if you are a dog lover. Only 1 out of 3 shift front desk knows how to speak English. Unfortunately the one who knows how to speak English is not very helpful. I commend the Guy who try to help to the best of his knowledge even though he is having difficulty speaking in English. I've been to Beijing but this is a lot worst. If I go back to Xian I will try a different Hostel. Or Might as well stay in Chengdu and just take a side trip to Xian for Terracotta Warriors.

Great location for seeing unrestored Great Wall
We were picked up at the bus stop and warmly welcomed. Room was spacious. Bed was ok but the shower was pathetic with hot water but no water pressure. Location is fantastic 30 minute up hill hike - mainly steps- to the Great Wall with fantastic 360 vista from the top of the tower. Minimal tourists on this more remote, unrestored section of wall.

This review is for the Chinese style twin room: except for the dim light (very very dim, can hardly see anything in daytime), we really like our room, it was cute and spacious. Our only big minus is the smell from the bathroom - very bad urine smell. We told the front-desk staff and she did came to our room with an unscented (?!) incense that did nothing but left heavy smoke in our bathroom - so yeah, they did try to fix the smell somehow but to no use. I would recommend this room to people who just need a quick crash, be out all day and can minimize your bathroom trips, if not, bring your own room deodorizer.

Quiet and charming room. 2 comfy queen size beds. Great value for price paid. Lovely girls on front desk, one of whom spoke good English. Situated just inside the south gate and a 5 minute walk from the underground. If you want a plush place this is not for you but if you are on a budget and want a comfy clean bed and wifi within easy reach oF all the tourist attraction this place is a good call.

History at your door step!
The check in experience was excellent, the gal that worked the desk was fantastic! The location was exceptional, we looked out our window and right there, was the Xi’an City Wall. History on your door step. Great location all around!

Xi’an visit
It’s a decent hostel and very good for the price you pay. It was mostly bars outside the hostel so looking for good food options at night is limited. It was much nicer in the morning for walks and cheap food options. The staff were very nice.

Loved the hotel and the staff/Bar Noise bad.
The staff was amazing, really helpful, fluent in English. The location near the South Gate was awesome. The resident Dog was adorable.I loved everything about the hotel until around 8 pm at night. Because I really loved the hotel this fact made me feel very torn about how i felt about the hotel. All of the rooms sit over the bar. The speakers are attached to the ceiling of the bar, so essentially the floor of the rooms. The first room we were in 2-002 literally vibrated from 8 pm until midnight. Earplugs were useless because you could feel the beat of the live band downstairs. As people that like to get an early start in the mornings and relax in the room at night this made it less of a perfect fit for us.. If you are in Xi'an to bar hop it is great. It is right in the bar district and great for those that like to stay up late. The second room we stayed in 2-005 was better because you could block out the sound with earplugs. One bit of advice buy some incense for the bathroom. All of Xi'an has some pretty old plumbing and accompanying odor.

I left my notebook on a train and they helped me call six different numbers to try and track it down (we didn't, but put in a good effort). I would have loved to stay here longer and will certainly stay here again if/when I return to Xi'an!

Great location, backpacker vibe, good hostel
I enjoyed my two night stay at Jano's Backpackers in Xi'an. The location is awesome, tucked behind the South Wall of the Xi'an city wall, the hostel is right in the middle of a street of bars and restaurants. Much of the sites within the city wall are walking distance away, like Bell and Drum towers, the Muslim quarter, and museum sites. The hostel itself was nice, perfect for backpackers. The dorms were not air conditioned, which was not ideal for the 40 degree Celsius days, but at nighttime the basement rooms were cool enough to sleep. The bathrooms are in decent condition, and the showers work well. I loved that the walls were covered in travelers' signatures and doodles, which I of course added to myself. They have the sweetest golden dog here, too! Not to mention, the staff are incredible, English-speaking and very helpful. I would recommend Jano's to backpackers staying in the area.
