The experience is good and the food was the best we had in our entire Egyptian trip. Be mindful of value, though, because the facilities don’t support the price point they might charge you. I don’t mind spending money on acommodation but the rooms, facilities, and service, although beautiful and interesting in its particular way, don’t entail a price of much more than perhaps $40 USD on high season. We stayed at top notch accomodation in Luxor for less than half the price we paid here.

What a jewel of a Nubian style getaway on the West Bank of the Nile in Aswan. Be prepared to escape today’s hectic pace and enjoy a community of relaxed traveler’s. (No WiFi/TV) just a beautiful sanctuary property on the Nile. Wonderful staff as well.

Awesome experience.
This stay was awesome. The solitude and peacefulness of the Nile, the excitement of taking a boat to the resort, the friendliness of the staff and the wonderful fun rooms with great views. It really was a wonderful experience.

So beautiful, so serene. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. Everything was perfect. There was a wi-fi issue out of their control and they did everything to make sure our trip went as planned. Would recommend to anyone.

What a find! My third visit to Aswan, but I'd never been to the Nubian village before. Really atmospheric. The hotel has loads of character. The rooms were excellent (we had deluxe rooms with a small balcony with river view). The place is really colourful. Lovely shady terrace over looking the river where a great range of food is served. Will definitely be back!

It was pleasant..the staff is very friendly especially Ahmed Aziz and Rowaida..food is great and the whole experience was fascinating..some little disadvantages such as presence of cats while eating with difficulty to let them away..the food especially breakfast was tasty and great..while lunch wasn’t as we expected..overall we spent nice time with the great atmosphere of the place..

Excellent Nubian Egypt Experience
Kato Dool Nubian (Aswan): If you want to see and support the black community in Egypt, Aswan has the ppl and temples! The hotel is an indigenous, highly rated, and recommended waterfront property! It was $138 U.S. a night, including a gorgeous balcony, spacious room/bath and included breakfast (which we missed because we had an early morning temple tour) The dinner there was full course, wud definitely recommend. They waited on us as top guests and this seemed to be their norm. Amazing service! The water view is awesome, we took a boat trip from the hotel dock down the Nile and it was so relaxing. We were the only two I'm the boat and we requested they inquire about getting us two beers and when docked away and the captain was so nice! Shopping: there is also extensive outside/market-style shopping stalls next to the hotel if you like to pick up gifts. I have to be honest, many of the sellers were aggressive, but I found this to be the case in Egypt in general. This was not due to the hotel. It was very nice having shopping so close and a stone's throw. The colorful decorations were just so festive and upbeat, I loved the vibe and energy of the hotel that matched the hotel staff. Last but not least, the staff, everyone was so welcoming and helpful! The experience was unmatched while in Egypt. We also visited Luxor and Cairo. P.S. The staff can arrange a pet alligator tour at a home nearby.
