We stayed at Lay Low for our 7D6N trip at Honolulu. Overall, we had to say it exceeded our expectation. The location is unbeatable, just 1 street off the main street, walking distance to International Market Place and other shopping areas, as well as numerous restaurant options. There are street parkings (both meter and free spaces) within distance as well for those who do not want to spend $45/night with the hotel valet parking option. $35/night resort fee was quite steep for us for just renting some beach towels, but almost every hotel charges the same so we don't have much to say about it. Hotel front desk was super nice and helpful, room was tidy, neat and comfortable, WiFi was decent, the view we got from our room was facing Market Place's carpark, but with a bit of an ocean view as well given the higher floor, not too bad for its value. We didn't use the swimming pool during our stay, it looks nice but rather small for a decent swim. Alternative option is to walk just about 7-10mins to the Waikiki Beach. A complimentary welcoming basket was given to us upon check in, but a small drawback was that the hotel doesn't provide complimentary bottled water for subsequent night. Maybe hotel can consider this going forward. Overall, we love our stay here and will definitely refer it to those visiting Honolulu. Thanks Lay Low.
