Bra värde för pengarna
Missförstå mig inte, för det man betalade fick man helt okej i gengäld: en säng och rent badrum. Läget är också hyfsat men är svårg att hitta, finns inget skyltat (inte ens på deras dörr). Det är rent men också slitet och ganmalt. Den frukost som var gratis bestod av vitt bröd och frukt, när jag kom ned var det bara två bananer kvar. Receptionen är inte alltid öppen.

Very fair treatment by staff at D&C!
We could not stay at this hotel because the room had very old carpet which caused me allergy problems. When the staff learned about my problem, they transfered our reservation to another hotel, owned by the same company. They called a taxi to take us there. We recommend the Casa Blanca! At Casa Blanca we were able to get breakfast and dinner. The food was very well prepared. The staff at both hotels did everything they could to make us comfortable. The staff were able to communicate in several languages.We would stay at Casa Blanca again!

Lovely hostile for a great price. Amazign Service
First of all Elisaul at the front desk was amazing! Helpful, friendly, spoke many languages, and was always willing to help. I found I got cold at night and was pleasantly surprised to be offered a second blanket if needed. Wifi is not the best, but I found that the same in all my travels, from $100/night hotels to this $6/night hostel. But again, Elisaul to the rescue. He was happy to restart the modem when I found I was having troubles connecting. The area was very safe, I think it was mostly consulates in the area. with lovely restaurants and grocery stores nearby I would happily stay here again.

We got so much more than we expected. The room was clean and nice - all you need to stay overnight. Shared bathroom also had a hot shower (but a sink and a mirror would make it perfect). The service we got was so super I feel ashamed that we forgot to tip the guy from the reception. He checked the bus schedules for us, ordered a taxi (5.50 am!!) and made sure we ended up to the right bus terminal (there are plenty of those in SJ). We arrived pretty late to San Jose, felt a bit unsafe due the aggressive taxi drivers, saturday night atmosphere etc, but when we finally found the hostel, started to feel safe and comfortable due the good service and nice hostel. Note: check the location beforehand because it seemed a bit hard for taxi drivers to find the place. Thank you reception guy if you ever read this!

Como en casa
La estancia en el hostel fue maravillosa, especialmente en lo se refiere al trato de los chicos de la recepción, Saúl y la chica que alternaba con él los turnos. Siempre dispuestos a cooperar y brindar cualquier información que uno solicite. El desayuno es estupendo y generalmente variado. Muy bueno y seguro para permanecer descansando y conocer nuevas gentes en las áreas comunes. Lo más complicado serían los baños comunes en caso de que estén a plena capacidad todos los cuartos, pero por lo demás es un lugar muy acogedor y tranquilo, ubicado en una zona espléndidamente hermosa, tranquila y acogedora de la ciudad de San José

The location was great, front desk staff were great and the price was cheap. The beds are placed on wooden slabs and were quite uncomfortable, don't expect much in terms of ambiance - the space is bare and stale

Super, um für 1-2 Tage die Stadt zu besichtigen. Metro Station direkt um die Ecke. Leider keine Schließfächer in den Dorms (zumindest in dem meinigen nicht), ansonsten alles was man braucht
