The information I received regarding check in/check out procedures and information about the apartment indicated that there would not be any cleaning service during my stay. After the first night there (July 4th), someone came through for cleaning service. This person removed a pillow case from my personal pillow and washed it with white towels. The pillow case was gray and it is now yellow. So to sum up, the cleaning service was not supposed to be there but showed up anyway (July 5th), they touched my personal belongings, didn't pay attention to the color and bleached it. So I now have a mismatched pillow case for sheets that cost about $200. I'm wondering why the cleaners showed up at all when it was stated that no daily cleaning service would come during my stay. So I had to pay over $100 for a cleaning service to bleach my gray pillow case and make it yellow for me.
Other than that, the place is clean, it's a good location in DC, there are plenty of utensils in the kitchen to make the stay more comfortable so one doesn't need to eat out for every meal. There are plenty of healthy eateries nearby, so the area is nice. Just wish the cleaning service didn't show up when they're not supposed to. I'm still debating within myself what type of action I would like to take in this regard. Perhaps by posting this review I'll feel better and won't feel like taking any action at all.
