We recently stayed at the hotel for a couple's getaway to celebrate my husband's birthday. Overall, we had a great time, and if I could, I'd give it 4.5 stars rather than 4. There were some fantastic moments that made our stay special, but a few disappointments kept it from being perfect.
The atmosphere was ideal for a quiet trip without kids around, and the hotel surprised us with complimentary treats for my husband's birthday, which was a nice touch. The room was spotless, and the breakfast selection, complete with Champagne, lived up to 5-star standards. The reception staff were friendly and always helpful.
However, there were a few downsides. We were drawn to the hotel for the rooftop views, but found out access was limited to VIPs or restaurant guests. We later learned the rooftop bar would have allowed us to enjoy the view, but by then, it was too late. This lack of communication left us absolutely disappointed.
Additionally, the restaurant staff could have been more welcoming; they felt less friendly compared to the reception. There was also an incident where we weren’t allowed to sit at a table for four as a couple, yet a single guest was seated there shortly after, leaving us feeling unfairly treated.
Overall, it was a great stay, and I’d rate it 4.5 stars for value and experience. With a bit more warmth in service and clearer communication, it would be a 5-star.
