Boende med superfin utsikt
Boende med magisk utsikt. Rummet var simpelt men fullt funktionellt och helt precis vad vi behövde. Utsikten från rummet är fantastisk. Personalen är supertrevliga och väldigt snabba på att svara på frågor. Boendet har endast tre rum vilket gör att boendet känns väldigt privat. Ligger ca 10 minuters gång från centrum (perfekt enligt oss).

Loved my stay at the Ella Alpine Resort! The views are amazing and the owner is so nice and accommodating. Breakfast with an incredible view was just an added bonus to get the morning started.

Nice small resort with amazing views.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Ella Alpine Resort. Our host went out of his way to make sure our stay was as pleasant as possible. Breakfast varied everyday and this place had the best WiFi so far in Sri Lanka. Beautiful views and an easy walk to Ella via the train tracks. Great spot.

Really nice property just off the beaten track in Ella. The breakfast was superb and the owner was very friendly and offered great advice for things to do in the area. Only downside for us was no air con but apart from that really nice place

Amazing stay in Ella
The mountain view is fantastic waking up with very big comfortable bed to sleep in. The owner started with very warm welcome introduction to hotel and the area. He himself also took me and other guests to hike to very famous nice arch bridge. Breakfast at hotel is amazing as everyone mentioned in review, but what I really got me to love this stay was the owner served dinner one day, very delicious homemade jackfruit curry, which I told him earlier that I love jackfruit which I cannot eat in my home country. He made jackfruit curry!!!!! I am solo female traveller, and I felt so safe and my heart so full after meeting the owner and his staffs. Thanks again for the best hospitality I can ever ask for. I will never forget this experience;)

Lovely place with beautiful mountain view
Lovely place to stay. Beautiful view to the mountains and the sunrise was amazing. The hotel is located on the small road so the bigger cars are not able to drive there. However the tuktuk is easy way to get in there. The place is really quiet and the railway is going nearby. There you have an easy access to Ella rock and to the town. It took around 15min to walk to Ella town. There is not many places to eat in the evening near by but in the town there are many restaurants. In the dark I got the tuktuk back to hotel and it was around 400 LKR. Breakfast was really good and the owner was really helpful! Thank you very much!

If youre looking for a quiet place away from the bustling Ella strip, this place is it. It has an amazing view where you can basically skip Ella Rock. The hosts are really warm and friendly and will make sure you have the best possible experience. It is a bit of a trek from the main strip (uphill) so plan with that in mind if you are going to go in town frequently.

A peaceful little place
When we first arrived, we were a bit dismayed. The place looks like a complete building site from the outside, because it is! However, once you go down the steps and into the main part of the grounds it’s quite quaint with a great view. Try not to be put off by first sight! The actual room was very quiet, peaceful and clean. It had a mosquito net and a very strong fan. It also had a really nice Veranda where you can sit and watch the thunderstorms over the mountains. There is a weird bathroom set up with a glass screen between the bed and the bathroom, I’m not quite sure who decided on that architectural choice. The Sri Lankan breakfast we had was delicious. One minor issue is that the staff at the hotel, as nice as they were, kept trying to sell us taxi rides to places, even though we just want to relax and chill and not go anywhere, that was a bit offputting Important information: there is a very quick shortcut into town. When you arrive in a taxi you follow a very winding road and it will take a long time to get to the hotel. However, if you’re walking on foot just follow the road until you reach the railway tracks, then walk along the railway tracks for about two minutes. After the cutting, you’ll see a rough track leading down to the right if you walk down this track you come out on the main road in Ella it really does shave off about a 25 minute hot sweaty walk.

la struttura è difficile da raggiungere con mezzi di trasporto perchè si trova immersa nelle colline di Ella. in realtà la fatica per raggiungerla è ripagata dallo spettacolo della vista che si può godere dalla sua terrazza. La colazione è molto buona e puntuale.

Lovely stay with an amazing view!
Enjoyed our stay at Ella alpine resort. The beds were comfy, generally the room was good - nowhere to put the kettle apart from next to the bed. One of the plugs wasn’t working either. Bathroom could do with some attention but overall fairly clean. View is incredible. Loads of steps - as with anywhere in Ella. Breakfast both western and Sri Lankan was tasty and generous. Staff were able to arrange tuk tuks and cars although didn’t really understand when we had booked our own transport for a lot cheaper.

Gute Wahl aber etwas weit vom Zentrum
Schöne Aussicht vom Zimmer, muss aber mit einem langen, z.T. schwietigen Weg ( ca. 10-15 min) vom Zentrum verdient werden. Zimmer in gutem Zustand, Fridge, Tisch und Zimmersafe fehlen. Leider wurde bei 3 Nächten keine Zimmerreinigung vorgenommen.

Great place to stay
We really enjoyed our stay at the Ella Alpine Inn. Service was excellent, the rooms were clean/comfortable and in general it exceeded our expectations having come from a far more expensive place in Kandy the previous nights. Note that it’s pretty far up waterfall road, and we told our driver to let us off without driving up, so the walk uphill combined with our carryon suitcases was a silly move on our part. Also as they note there’s a fair bit of stairs from the road to your actual room. It’s completely manageable and they’ll assist with your baggage if needed, but worth mentioning. Breakfast was very nice, and the view from the balcony is gorgeous. Wifi was also suprisingly great— all in all this is a great place to stay.

Beautiful view and great place to stay.
Decent room and very good value. The view is amazing and worth getting out of bed to watch the sunrise in the morning. The town is a 20 min walk but at night its easier and very cheap to get back in a tuk tuk. Breakfast is lovely and the owner is always available if you need anything such as laundry or onward transport arranging.
