8/10 Very good

Stayed for an overnight for some meetings in Kathmandu. The hotel is tucked away off paknajol which is close to Thamel but far from noise. Staff were friendly, helpful and even upgraded my room! Heating/AC worked great for the cold Kathmandu night. The room in general needed a deep clean, but nothing crazy. Will stay again!

6/10 Good

Basic, good value.
Fairly standard Thamel guesthouse, a little dated, but friendly enough, and in quiet side street but close to the centre. Electrics a bit primitive, and wifi sporadic, but very cheap, so good value, all things considered. Friendly Staff.

2/10 Poor

Very dirty and I maintenance
It was a last minute minute booking cause I had to come Kathmandu. Expedia showed 60% off so And pictures looked nice. So I actually thought I was getting a very good deal on a nice hotel but in fact I landed in a very shabby place. The floor covering was torn. Worst part the toilets were very dirty with toilet seats turned yellow. no soaps in the batheroom. Dirty sheets. Most of the rooms don’t have window. These windows shown in picture open on the corridor. So if you want sunlight or fresh air then this is not the place. Only 4 rooms on higher floors have windows and view. Rest all of them are on long corridor. The room I had a broken almira, with doors falling off. Plastic glasses that looked very dirty. So definitely will not recommend, I think hotel should improve standards specially staff seemed educated and nice so I wonder why they keep the place in such condition.

Great hotel very close to Thamel
Stayed here for a few nights. Very friendly staff, helped book tickets to Lukla and changed money for me. Satellite channels in room and nice hot showers. Cannot go wrong for the price.

Great customer service
The manager is amazing. He is so caring and took great care of me. I stayed for 12 days and he was just wonderful. He tells me where to visit everyday and even pack my breakfast if I have to leave earlier. Thank you amazing manager (sorry I forgot your name) from Ping from Australia. I would definitely stay at your hotel again. You are the best.

Really good and convenient hotel
I was definitely happy with this hotel -- located right at the edge of the tourist neighborhood Thamel, very quiet, clean, well kept, and super friendly staff. Breakfasts are also very good. Price is also very reasonable for what you get. Definitely recommended and I will stay there again the next time I am in Kathmandu!

The rooms are clean and nice. Good breakfast. Staffs are friendly and helpful. It was my awesome stay at Classic Hotel. Ask them if you need taxi around Kathmandu, they will arrange in very reasonable price. They also helped me to exchange the money in very good exchange rate. Great location, comfortable, friendly staff
Great staff, really proud if where they worked and couldn't do enough to help in any way. The owner even helped us out with a taxi back to the airport when the one we had booked didn't show! The rooms are small but perfectly equipped and the bed was comfortable. We had been staying in a homestay for a couple of weeks previous so it was a bit of a step up for us! Hot shower and the wifi was good. Breakfast was cooked to order and was nice. If you don't have long in Kathmandu I'd highly recommend a tour of the monkey temple, Pashpatinath, Durba Square (the old town). The hotel sorted us a driver for the day which took us to all three for $35. You did have to pay to get into places but it wasn't much and if you want to you could easily get a guide when you arrived. We thought it was amazing and we were really impressed with Kathmandu. The hotel itself is central in Thamel, great area for restaurants, bars and shops. Ask any of the locals for recommendations as there are too many to list here! There is live music if you want it, relaxed coffee bars with board games, football screens! Something for everyone. Definitely recommend Classic Nepal for a reasonably priced, comfortable and great located hotel.
