特雷民宿酒店 - 喀他基那

This hotel is an renovated old Spanish colonial building outside of the old city (but very close to the walled city). It's very charming, and the terrace is great. The pool is nice, but a bit small, and also right in the courtyard/ lobby, which means anyone coming in our out of the building will walk past and watch you swim. Our room was overall very nice-- we got an upgrade upon check-in-- but the vast majority of rooms don't have windows in them (each floor is one long hallway with rooms, and only the rooms at the end of the hallway have windows). Several of our friends also stayed here, and the no window thing really bothered them. Also, since it's a renovated old building, it is a bit more rustic/ less polished than your typical hotel. Overall it was okay, but there are lots of hotels in that price range around the area, so this isn't a fabulous deal.

We stayed on the 3rd floor next to where the elevator was being installed. We were not aware of any construction prior to our stay but soon discovered they were installing an elevator. To be fair, they would start the construction at a reasonable hour but you would think they would advise this when booking and/or checking in. We didn’t have any wifi accessibility in our room and were told the wifi was finicky. We would have to go in the hallway to access wifi. The location of the hotel is great within close proximity to the walled city with many restaurants and bars within a 5-10 minute walk.

Great location, friendly staff, good rooms and good value for money.
