Check-in closes at 22:00 so I was worried if my flight was delayed, I would miss check-in.
Also, when I first approached the property, there was no way to enter, the gates were locked, there was no pushbutton so I felt stuck. I managed to catch the eye of the gardner who let me in. The staff were very friendly and helpful, they quickly changed my room because I wanted to be on a higher floor..
When I tried to take shower, there was no hot water. A member of staff quickly came, scratched his head a bit, eventually finding the power hadn't been turned on - it is the second light switch in the bathroom. Who'd have thought it would be a light switch?!
Also, the aircon unit is old and not up to the job, this combined with a plastic covered mattess made for a sweaty night. I was once woken up by the guard dog, but to be fair, he's not a very barky dog.
Prices in the restaurant are very reasonable, American breakfast for £2.50. Choices for dinner are very limited, omalette or sandwich is about it. You must try the calamansi juice - just gorgeous!
It was a bit noisy with jeepneys accelerating past, they have the loudest exhausts in the world (with the possible exception of Cape Canaveral!), but that is hardly the hotel's fault.
