The Refugee zinn is a excellent place to stay. Loved the brown bag breakfast. Pool, hot tub and sona where great. All day coffee bar was excellent. WILL BE STAYING THERE AGAIN

The Refuge Inn is a beautiful little hotel in Chincoteague. In particular, the indoor pool area was a gem. It's a heated pool in a greenhouse like enclosure. The pool is clean and surrounded by plants that were brought in for the winter. At night, there was steam coming off the pool, creating a lovely atmosphere.

What I like about staying here: close to the wildlife refuge, breakfast ordered the night before is delivered to your room at the time you specify, the checkin is friendly, the room is comfy.

We stay here often. The property is very convenient to the entrance to the Chincoteague Refuge. Many restaurants are close by too. The rooms are large and decorated nicely as well as extremely clean and well-maintained. Check-in is easy and staff is very pleasant. Breakfast is brought to your room and fresh coffee is near the registration office.

Enjoyable Stay
We enjoyed our recent one night stay at the Refuge Inn. Check-in was quick and easy. The lobby, hallways and our room were all well-maintained and clean. Our room looked like it was recently renovated. The bed was comfortable and it was nice to have two chairs to relax in and a small dining area to have our breakfast. Luckily, the weather was warm enough to enjoy the balcony in the afternoon.

Room and cleanliness were top notch. What a comfortable bed! Shower and bathroom perfect. Front desk staff were about the friendliest I've ever spoken with. Coffee was good! hot, and put out nice and early for us stargazers. Nice breakfast too. We made use of the rooftop deck every day, several times a day. Also the back deck to check the stars early morn and late eve every day. We were extremely happy to see that you still have the roof deck! And that the ponies and bikes are still just across the parking lot. We are definitely coming back! Thank you for all the thoughtful touches- it was noted and much appreciated.

the refuge inn
I liked the location overlooking the salt marsh, the colors of the Inn that blend into the trees instead of offering a stark contrast as do the newer condos and apartments. The house staff are very friendly and front desk very welcoming. I also liked looking out at the pony corral in the morning, the 2 cats that seem to travel across the paddocks, and the well maintained facilities.
