Perfect landing spot for a family in Tawas

Great Location

We thought it was clean, but the room was bare. It was a king room with only a little refrigerator and nothing else. I didn't even have a bench to put your things on. The front desk person female not sure of name. She was there Sunday afternoon check in July 20 and the morning of Mon July 21 check out dark long hair. She was not friendly at all. If you work in hospitality, you should have the personality for it. We did enjoy the Bikinis bar outside and loved the restaurant on the property. The people there were amazing. Beautiful location.

Room temperature control-better policy

Late afternoon when entering room, noted room was extremely cold. We fiddled with temperature controls, then left the room for a late dinner/drink. Return, which was late, there was NO difference in air temp (66 degrees). Desk explained that during the extreme heat wave, just before we came, maintenance locked room controls so people would not mess with them. Unfortunately, the extreme cold room kept us from sleeping comfortably and having a productive next day.

Nightmare in East Tawas no help from hotel.com

Made reservation on hotel.com got an Itineraries number no confirmation number called customer service 888 964 4613 ex465 said card denied set up reservation again two more cards denied said I needed debit card went thru got first floor room as asked and confirmation number ! 4pm check in arrived 3:15 room not ready went to beach bikini bar frozen gordon food breaded chicken patty and 1/4lb frozen burger $80 ! Tried to check in 5pm room not ready talking with CAGED BOBCAT Judy mean found out had second floor room had confirmation for first floor medical reasons Bobcat said she couldn’t accommodate first floor room asked for refund would NOT give refund payed dishwasher $25 to carry my luggage to room ! Pool was dirty sand in corners along sides and steps jacuzzi broke dry sauna broke broke since September of 24 . Room dated windows didn’t open and cleaning service only happened every 4th day we stayed 8 days ! Prosperity had hugh potential but run down beach was loaded with sea weed and fish fly larvae garbage cans full fish flys all over entrance ways racked beach one time on Friday Saturday morning beach loaded wit sea weed and larvae and kids pkaying wit 30lb dead carp they found on beach place has huge potential but owner won’t spend money place run down no hospitality !!! Came home to find out all three attempts to book room went thru now fighting with hotels.com and Alfi to get reimbursed as of now 4 days of fighting they are charging me $4500 for 8 day stay 💩

Great hotel

We had an amazing experience. Room was very clean with comfortable bed and pillows. Had extra blankets and pillows. Restaurant food was delicious and good prices. Servers very friendly. We enjoyed our long weekend.

Great Place, for a weekend getaway!

We highly recommend Tawas Bay Beach resort. The staff were friendly, the pool/hot tub was clean. Rooms are a great size and we like the bay view. Only thing different I would change is the coffee they use in the lobby. Spring for a better coffee.

A $20 charge for checking in early despite the room being ready. Manager said the owners were in business to make money. Only 2 towels in room for 3 day stay. Worst breakfast I've ever seen. There were biscuits, bagels, a waffle machine & an orange for fruit plus coffee. Loud staff conversations from behind the checkin desk about their personal life. Unprofessional behavior. Windows were impossible to open more than 2 inches. It was a really sub par operation in all respects
