I chose this hotel as it is close to the airport (I needed to catch a morning flight) and there seems to be good reviews. I don't know how this hotel ends with a rating >8. After one night of stay, I can conclude this is definitely one of the worst hotels I've stayed in years, with no exaggeration.
I had a room with a double bed. To be fair, the bed and towels etc were pretty clean. Everything else was a nightmare:
Basin - blocked
TV - remote control doesn't work
Aircon - missing remote control
There were two PCs in the room (which I was quite happy initially): one PC was broken, the other one had a broken mouse.
There was a typhoon during my stay, it was big but not massive. During the 2 hours while the typhoon affecting the city, we had power cut for 3 times, and the smell coming out of the water pipeline was disgusting. I called the reception and asking if I could extend my stay till 2pm due the weather, the lady replied 'of course I understand the weather condition, but if you want to stay, you need to pay', I literally had to run downstairs within 5 minutes to secure my room for another 2 hours, for 20,000 KRW (15 USD?) - even 5 star hotels do not charge extras for late checkouts.
I don't usually write bad and long reviews for hotels, as I understand it is hard to run a business anyway. but this is way beyond acceptable for a hotel of such standard to receive such good rating.
