We had booked with Comfort Inn at near Woodland but the hotel had no electricity. We had booked with Holiday in in Austin and liked the service. So with the previous experience with Holiday inn we booked the Holiday Inn in Tomball. We had an excellent time at the hotel. The receptionist was outstanding and we turned a disaster into a fantastic stay at the Holiday Inn in Tomball. I am traveling to San Antonio and I am going to stay at a Holiday Inn while we see the sites in San Antonio. Thank you Holiday Inn!!!

We spent November 23rd (our stay was Nov 22-24) out at a local event and did not return until late in the afternoon. We were very surprised that the room had not been made up since we had not left a "Do not disturb" sign or any other indication that we did not want the room serviced. When I asked the desk clerk on duty he told me it was their policy not to clean a room unless a guest specifies that they want their room serviced. I asked if this was a Holiday Inn policy that had recently been changed...since it was not a policy I was familiar with nor was this stated anywhere in the room or stated during the check-in process. I asked him to contact his manager and she replied to him (by email/text) with an apology that this was not communicated to us but that this was indeed their policy. Housekeeping was gone for the day and our only recourse was to get fresh towels and continue our stay in an unserviced room. I'm apalled that a property that participates with hotels.com and other booking services can feel it's OK to implement a policy that is not the norm and is not being communicated to guests. I would appreciate if hotels.com get clarification if this is truly an acceptable policy!
