Top notch service, great food, nice rooms.
The Hilton Garden Inn was great but for a couple of small items. Let's start with the things that bugged me. Access to the guest rooms were great and secure through card key accessed glass doors. There are two areas for improvement here:
1. The doors were often friction propped open, defeating the security feature. Perhaps secueity staff might round the access doors more often.
2. The sign to identify the exit button was not obvious. It could be made more visible, OR perhaps explained upon check-in.
The ground level rooms had clear glass which allows people at the poolside to look right into the rooms. Perhaps tinting of the full glass walls might be helpful to maintain privacy.
The good:
The service is phenomenal! The staff were very helpful. Our shampoo was running out and we informed the front desk. In less than 5 minutes, housekeeping had it brought over. People seem genuinely happy to work there and all greeted guests with smiles.
The check-in process is flawless! These people act as though they were trained by the Ritz Carlton. We had arrived early and they had no problem stowing our luggage when we went around town. They also were very willing to give good information.
The rooms were well appointed, clean, stocked, and tidy. The water they provided were all in sealed glass bottles.
Breakfast was WONDERFUL! Great choices and variety available. There were local delights, western items, and fruits.
This will be my default choice in Bali from now.
