Quiet but close to MTR station. Shower sometimes cold when water pressure drops. Staff very helpful. Overall good.

Bath towels worn out& washer&dryer dysfunction

Bath towels were worn out, washed out and threadbare. Washing machine and dryer extremely outdated. Clothes (below the weight of 16pound) were still damp after 44 minutes of drying and costs is expensive. HK$33 for 30 minutes of washing and HK$44 for 40minutes.

Lovely stay

We enjoyed our stay at Heritage Lodge. For the price, it was a great! The climb up (stairs + elevator) the hotel was not bad at all as we mostly came back when the sun is down. The staff are really nice! Location was good. Would stay here again if we were to visit HK in future!

A cozy urban retreat destination

A cozy urban retreat destination off Mei Foo. Clean and serves the purpose.

6/10 Good

Thin wall of room but overall is ok

The environment is good and silent. Staff is great and helpful. But the water pressure of shower is unstable, and the walls are very thin. Late at night, I can clearly hear conversations from the neighboring room, even had somebody sang loudly at 2am, making it difficult to sleep peacefully. ---

10/10 Exceptional

The environment is quiet and comfortable, with a strong artistic atmosphere and convenient transportation. The bus and subway stations are nearby, and the shopping mall is relatively close. The cost-effectiveness is high, but the only drawback is that the accommodation is located on the mountain and requires climbing stairs. For friends who are going to bring luggage for the first time, it is recommended to take a taxi directly to the check-in area.

It is a pretty and quiet property. It locates at the hillside at edge of the city. This is my second stay here. They no longer offer the shuttle services to and from the MTR stations. You have to walk up to the hill and it is quite an issue in the hot summer for returning to the Lodge at day time. You'll better take the taxi after shopping with lot of carryings. (But some taxi drivers from Mei Foo station do not like the short distance passengers like us.) Hot water supply is not stable due to the water pressure. This is another issue that they should fix. Also, they do not offer coffee but only tea bag in the room. Overall, I will stay here again.
Yan Lung, 5-night trip

8/10 Very good

Inconvenient or even impractical laundry service is my major complaint about Heritage Lodge. The self-serve laundry machine only takes Alipay and another Mainland China e-wallet payment. The commonly used HK Octopus card or Visa/Master credit card are not one of the payment options. Since the lodge is a historical property, water pressure can be low at times for the shower and the shower curtain should be cleaned by bleach to remove the mildew musty smell. Heritage Lodge is located at the hillside that is about 7 minutes’ walks from Mei Foo MTR station exit A or B and the Mei Foo bus terminal. Follow the road signage to walk to the lodge. There is also a bus stop right across the street from the lodge entrance if those selected buses go where you need to go. Heritage Lodge is a good place to escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. Beware of the stairs you need to climb to access the lodge though. There are two elevators that access the lower and middle zone, but there are the final 80 steps of staris which guests must climb to reach the lodge. There are plenty of restaurants in Mei Foo Estate. From Mei Foo MTR exit C, you can also visit the beautiful Lingnan Garden.

There was too much stairs to climb. We had to take a cab every time we went out. Staff were nonchalant and just can’t be bothered, maybe because they don’t speak English well enough to engage in conversation with non local guests.

Beautiful place

Comfortable and beautiful, but be ready to climb stairs! This place is located on an unusually high ridge in HK. They have more than one building on the ridge, with staircases between them. As properties go in HK, this one is spacious and comfortable. The breakfast is through a partnership with a small restaurant half way down the ridge by stairs. The food was fantastic. But be prepared to climb lots of steps to get back to your room! The only reasons for 4 stars are: - Low Water Pressure: The bathroom is outfitted with an excellent massaging-style shower head. Unfortunately, the water pressure is so low that the massage feature doesn't work. It is also difficult to get water to stream away from the wall far enough to get your body wet without bumping the valve and shutting off the water! - Incomprehensible heating/cooling system. Maybe it's just a cooling system, but when it's 12C (53F), it'd be nice to get some warm air into the room, but all I could get was cold air. There was something written on the thermostat, but it was in Chinese without an English translation.

前台的小姐非常貼心且積極協助,給予指示也非常清楚,離地鐵站也不會走很遠,如果搭電梯也還好,體力好的可以自己爬上去😆

They should advise the guests to request the taxi driver to drive up the hill to the hotel receptionist building. Our taxi drive left us at the bottom of the hill, and we had to pull 2- 45 lbs luggage up the hill, about 3 to 400 steps. Hand towers should be provided. 2 pillows will be better than one.
Wilson, 6-night trip

8/10 Very good

Friendly and helpful staff, very clean, comfortable bed. Just a short walk from Mei Foo MRT station, and easy to get to once you know which set of stairs is the fastest route. Water pressure was lacking a little but the shower did get nice and hot. Breakfast and coffee at the cafe was good. Unfortunately they don’t take credit cards, so you’ll need cash or an Octopus. My only complaints would be that the window didn’t open so there was no way to get fresh air, and that we could hear a little too much from nearby rooms and their overnight activities.
