This is an old building with outdoor entrances to the rooms. Inside and out, everything you see is worn out and shabby. The repairs that have been done over the years were done poorly. There were cigarette burns in the bathroom and in the bedspread. There was no cigarette smell, only a faint disinfectant smell. The bed was advertised as a queen, but it was actually a full. This was not a problem for me since I was traveling solo, but it could be an issue for couples or families. The pillows were small, but they were nice and firm, just the way I like them. There was a microwave and mini fridge: I didn't use them, but they seemed to be in working order. The air conditioner worked well, and was whisper quiet. The desk clerk was polite and efficient. There are many shopping and dining options within walking distance, including a 24 hour convenience store right next door. Bottom line: you book here because you're looking for a cheap room, and that's what you'll get. I found it adequate in every important way, but it's not pretty.
