I had a terrible check in experience, I was charged extra when I owed nothing more. The front desk clerk just lied and made up why/what she was charging. Claimed I owed extra tax due to the state of FL.
It was late, I figured that out in the morning. As I suspected, I was overcharged, the manager corrected. I was still bothered, that the front desk employ just lied and BS'd so easily when she obviously made a mistake.
We left the hotel and expected to have our room cleaned and restocked with towels on day 2. Came back to nothing tidied up or replenished. Too tired to deal with, we asked for fresh towels.
Day 3 we called the front desk and asked for fresh towels and housekeeping while we were out. We were gone all day, came back around 6pm to nothing done again.
At this point I was beyond frustrated with this property. Called and asked why our room hadn't been tidied up, no towels, no trash removed.
The front desk responded they had no note of a request. But, we could come and get more towels and gave us a trash bag to remove any trash ourselves. The front desk was terrible at this property, and it never seemed to be the same employee from Fri-Monday.
The only positive was Donna from housekeeping, after hearing that front desk dropped the ball, she came and emptied our trash can and picked up the wet towels. She was great and went above and beyond where her co-workers could care less about the guests at the hotel.
