Great Stay at Hotel Golden
Hotel Golden is a small,.family run hotel. The location near Villa Borghese Park was perfect for a morning run. The hotel is within two miles of almost everything in Rome, which was great as my family is a walking family. The rooms were cleaned daily and well maintained. The staff was friendly and always available to help. Hotel Golden does not have the frills of a chain hotel, but it's attention to each room and the customer made it the perfect choice for my family. When I am back in Rome, Hotel Golden will he my first choice of accommodations.

Bra hotell, ligger relativt centralt, litet och tryggt. Allt fungerade bra, kan defenitivt tänka mig att bo här igen. Det enda som kan vara negativt var att på morgonen en dagen var det dåligt med varmvatten i duschen och sängarna kan upplevas hårda om man gillar mjuka sängar men jag hade inga problem med det. Trevlig personal.

Great choice
I started my trip to Italy at this inn near the Villa Borghese. The hotel arraged for my car pickup from FCO (comparably priced to a taxi, but so nice to have a driver waiting after 17 hours of travel). The hosts were all gracious, very helpful and welcoming (also, my terrible attempts at Italian weren't a problem). I was able to store luggage on arrival and after check-out. The room was clean, comfortable and perfect for a solo traveler. A 10 minute walk takes you to the metro station. Would highly recommend and will happily return on my next stay in Rome. Grazie mille!

We can’t take room key with us when leaving the hotel o go out during our staying. Have to ring the door bell to come and go. No coffee maker or teas or refrigerator in the room. Some counter workers are very unfriendly. The neighborhood looks insecure. The only place to buy breakfast next door that perhaps ran by the same family is overpriced and unfriendly.

Amazing Hotel Golden!
Hotel Golden is a wonderful hotel owned by the Loria family for 4 generations! Ideally located in the Ludovisi neighborhood. There are cafes and restaurants on every street. The hotel has a variety of room types available for couples or families. Each room has it's own bathroom. They arranged all our transportation from the airport and to the cruise port and back again. Drivers were friendly, on time, and very reasonably priced. We really appreciated the private transport. The metro is a short 10 minute walk from the hotel. I would highly recommend staying here if you travel to Rome.

We loved the hotel and the family that runs it. The hosts went out of their way to help us with taxis and dinner reservations, we couldn’t have been more satisfied. After four generations, the hosts have a beautiful hotel that they take great pride in!

Exceptional service, quiet and safe location. Wifi worked great and the suite was very clean. Traveled to Rome with my wife and we stayed here only one evening but we were very satisfied with our stay. The furniture and such is quite dated and could use a refresh but otherwise there is great value for money at this hotel.

A great hotel to stay at. The family who owns the hotel was very helpful and kind. There were a lot of restaurants around and close to a lot of places that we were interested. The host also helped us to find a taxi to the airport with reasonable price. Highly recommend this to anyone!

Sehr sauber und schön, obwohl die Einrichtung schon etwas älter war. Insgesamt konnte ich gut schlafen und war zufrieden. Drei Dinge haben mich allerdings gestört: 1. Eigentlich hättte man mir den Zimmerschlüssel gar nicht geben müssen, da man ihn beim Verlassen des Hotels sowieso immer direkt nebenan bei der Rezeption abgeben musste. Zum Wiederreinkommen musste man jeweils an der Haus- und Wohnungstür klingeln und hat dann den Zimmerschlüssel bekommen. Man stand so unter ständiger Beobachtung. 2. Offensichtlich wird zur Kontrolle beliebig ins Zimmer reingegangen, wenn der Gast nicht da ist. Man hat mir auch nicht gesagt, dass ich die Fensterluke nicht hätte öffnen dürfen, um Tageslicht hereinzulassen, nachdem ich 20 Minuten später vom Frühstück wiederkam. Aber ähnliches haben auch schon andere Gäste bemängelt. Und nein, es lief nicht die Klimanlage bei offenem Fenster... 3. Auf meine Frage, ob es Kaffemaschine oder Tee-Equipment gäbe, lautete die Antwort kurz "Nein". Später habe ich gesehen, dass es wohl einen Wasserkocher gab - das hätte mir gereicht. Und als ich am Abend vor dem Flug fragte, ob ich schonmal meine Rechnung begleichen könnte, sagte der Jüngere an der Rezeption "Ja" und von hinten rief der Ältere "Nein! Außer Sie haben einen guten Grund dafür". So fühlte ich mich als Gast nicht gut behandelt.

We absolutely loved staying at Hotel Golden and we will be back! The family that owns this hotel are so nice and helpful. They called a cab for us several times. They recommended great places to eat in the neighborhood. This hotel is about a 5 minute walk from the Borghese Park and Borghese Gallery. The hotel is in a very safe area near the embassy. We also had espresso and a cornetto at a cafe around the corner that we loved. We love Rome and we live Hotel Golden!
