It isn't located in the town centre, but not far away, around 20 minutes walking to London Bridge and Tate Modern, or you can simply go by underground which is within 10 minutes walking from the hostel, and bus stop right outside the hostel. I personally quite enjoy to stay a bit away from scentic spots so to have a deeper understanding of local residents' daily life.
The room is very tidy, thanks for the clean ladies. Water was too hot (I stayed in 2-beds room with bath room in room) to take a shower. Be careful if you are leaving on Sunday morning (very early, lets say 6 o'clock) to catch your flight, you better check out the opening hour of the closest underground, I left yesterday (Sunday) and found it open at 07:10, don't know if it is common practice or occasionally do that, better consult the staff before (they are very helpful), for sometimes you have to have a plan B.
People from different countries stayed in this hostel for different purposes, they usually gather at common area to get their phone or computer connected, it's a great opportunity to chat with them and know more about other countries's history or culture, or even know more about the UK.
