Personnes accueillantes. Chambre confortable et joliment décorée avec goût. Tout est prévu dans la salle de bain (peignoirs, chaussons, brosses à dents...) digne d un 4*. Propreté irréprochable. Rien à redire si ce n'est... merci !!!

Highly Recommended
My wife had injured her leg skiing and the hotel very kindly and efficiently allowed us early check-in. The staff were warm, friendly and courteous and made us feel cared for. We had a lovely traditional dinner in the restaurant which we very much enjoyed. The hotel was very clean and comfortable and we would definitely return.

Vraiment un hôtel qui a su concerver son cachet d'antan tous en intégrant discrètement tous les avantages modernes ; salle de douche, prise murale USB,... tout est complet. La cuisine tant au déjeuner qu'au souper est exquis et copieux.

Great large bedroom with retreat, property location and hosts. We felt very comfortable during our stay. Enjoyed the daily breakfast, drinks and charcuterie during the afternoon. We visited the nearby waterfalls and hiking during the day.

Perfect stay
This was an excellent place to stay. I happened to become sick just before we arrived, so spent all my time in the room and was very comfortable the entire time. It helped that I had a view of the mountains from the bed. Clean, comfortable, spacious. Tea kettle. It was everything I needed. The breakfast, which I could finally eat on the last day, was superb -- local foods, home-baked breakfast cakes, good coffee and tea.

Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit unserem 5 tägigen Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel. Zum Frühstück wurden ausschließlich regionale Produkte gereicht. Das täglich angebotene 4 Gang Menü war sehr abwechslungsreich, frisch zubereitet und sehr schmackhaft.

Lion D’or is a very VERY charming hotel in a great location across the street from the thermal spas and extremely close to everything in Cauterets. Toma, his aunt and mother run a lovely gem of a hotel and our stay there was perfect!

hôtel formidable tenu par une famille formidable
3 ème séjour au lion d'or, le dernier datant de 9 ans plus tôt; mais toujours cet immense plaisir de retrouver cette famille unie à la tête de cet établissement ! ils ont le sourire sur les lèvres et dans leur voix! quelle gentillesse, toujours dans l'attention tout en respectant les attentes de chaque hôte! Et la cuisine: tout est fait maison, un pur délice avec un coup de cœur pour la compote de pomme à la cannelle -:)) propreté irréprochable! un grand merci à la dame s'occupant des chambres( le temps du petit déj )car elle ordonnait même les peluches de mon fils! situation parfaite pour les randonnées et parking public à l'arrière accessible très facilement Bref: Un hôtel plein de charme, où l'on se sent "en famille" cocooné par une ambiance très chaleureuse et...non feinte contrairement à certain 3 étoiles...
