This has been my worst experience ever in life. I can’t believe Expedia would put their name on something like this. In Norway, this service has been shut down immediately. Given that this is the USA, we should expect higher standards.
The fact that this hotel received an average rating of 4.8 out of 10 seems suspicious—it’s almost too good to be true. In my opinion, it’s more deserving of a 1 out of 10 rating.
The website pictures didn’t match the room I received. The air conditioning was incredibly loud—I felt like I was inside a boat’s engine room. Additionally, there appeared to be a fire near the air conditioning system.
The front door appeared to be open from the outside, and when it was dark, you could see imperfections. Unfortunately, this allowed creepy bugs and animals (mice/rats..) to enter freely. It’s disappointing that they didn’t split the bill with me. Perhaps replacing the front door with a shower curtain wouldn’t have made a significant difference.
Regarding the cleanliness of the beds, although they appeared to be made, I still noticed nails, hair, and handprints. I’m uncertain if they were thoroughly washed.
The smell was another issue—I’m not sure if it was mold or the scent of decay or sewer. The bathroom was the most unpleasant I’ve encountered. The broken and dangerous power outlet, along with the inconsistent water temperature, made the experience worse.
My children asked me how many people have died in this room. Honestly, I’m not sure, and I find
