The service at the front desk was good and at the restaurant was excellent.Well situated close to shopping centre and the Auto stand was just 100 meters up the road. One thing that was not quite in order was the so called minibar.It was first absent and when asked for an empty nonworking cooling fridge working on the peltier principle with fan was provided.Later a compressor fridge was brought.This did not work as the compressor never switched on.Finally another Peltier fridge which was working was provided.This provided cooling about 3 to 4 degrees below room temp.I think they should switch to compressor cooled mini fridges and also stock them with some basic items like soft drinks. Otherwise our stay of 4 nights was pleasant and the staff were very courteous and friendly.I woulld recommend this hotel

Not highly recommended
We had booked and charged for a Deluxe room,and was allotted a standard room with no explanation given. Air conditioning and the bed was way below average. Limited car parking space. Not highly recommended.

Good hotel with all the required amenities.
Everything was fine; perhaps only one complaint though, the WiFi doesn't reach the last room on the second floor fully. However, a very minor flaw in an otherwise superb hotel.

Good Hotel In Kochi
Hotel was good, but beds were a little stiff. Overall the location and the service was good. Internet was also good, but routers are only on 2 & 4th floors, so rooms away from the routers can be very slow. Breakfast was good and filling

Good Hotel in City Center
Good hotel close to Ernakulam Town train station. Beds are a bit hard. WiFi routers are in the middle of the even numbered floors, so WiFi can be sketchy on odd number floors and rooms in the front (ex. 501) on those floors. Breakfast is pretty good and filling. Good stay.

I Ernakulam - ganske midt i...
Hotellet var i grunn ganske ok. Rommet var fint. Vi anbefaler ikke restauranten på hotellet, heller ikke taxiservicen hvis den eksisterer... Ernakulam er lissom ikke stedet man reiser til Kochi for å besøke. Det er i fort man skulle bodd. Litt vanskelig å finne seg til rette i Ernakulam.

Ideal place to stay to visit Kochi and Ernakulam
Senate is conveniently located from the Ernakulam staion and the famous MG Road shopping complex. We originally booked for one night, but due to our train ticket we were arriving early. The hotel receptionist accommodated us for two nights..at a discounted price than what expedia had listed. Although I don’t agree with the 3.5 star..(as usual with Expedia hotels in India..they all have a star or two more when compared to the international start ratings..especially the US)..so being said that.The hotel in itself is small, but the rooms were of usual hotel standards. They were clean, and well maintained. The extra bed was comfortable too. Restaurant food was delicious. They had good menu choices for dinner…Fish was really good. Breakfast buffet had both Indian and continental choices. Had freshly made food and juices as well. Our local tour of Kochi via the hotel car was ridiculously costly..like every freakin Taxi in Kerala (for a mere 7KM they charge Rs. 500, and they don’t use meter), I would not take that again. Rather take the local Rikshaw (or TukTuk). Hotel staff were very friendly..especially the Front office manager. He went an extra mile to arrange for our rental car from Kochi to Munnar and beyond. Would like to thank for that.

Great Hotel
We stayed for 1 night with our family and found this hotel excellent in terms of location, cleanliness, staff, hot water etc. However, it will be batter if hotel could provide tea / coffee maker in hotel room. Surprisingly electronic locker was available in the room. Very comfortable stay.

Not worth the money
The deluxe room we got was very small, it had nasty stain on the wall. Not sufficient toiletries provided, we had to request extra towels, tissues etc. Hand shower in toilet did not work. TV set had dead pixels. Breakfast items were lame and disgusting. Totally waste of money!!!

stayed for 1 night. the food choices are limited but good. The best part about the hotel is its proximity to shopping places in broadway, mg road as well as the marine drive and also the railway station. overall a comfortable place at an affordable price.

My stay was pretty good, eventhough I had to change the room on the second day as the staff was not able to repair the A/C.. The food was not up to the mark. There is a lot of room for improvement in this regard. The front officce was pretty helpful.

Not Worth the Money
My husband was SO excited to go to Cochin to see the cricket match - we splurged (for us) on what we thought would be a NICE hotel. But the rooms were WAY too small, the bathroom was not clean, it was LOUD from the traffic noise, and generally just disappointing. For this money, I've stayed in really nice rooms, even in Fort Cochin. We are unclear how they can ask so much for these rooms. They were not especially helpful in addressing any of these issues. I would not recommend.

The hotel facilities were worst. first of all when i phoned the hotel about our booking they said they have not got any confirmation till yet. On the way to hotel i have to mail them about our booking and need to phone 3-4 times till i got confirmation. The hotel crowd was not great, the food was not good at all, even the complimentary breakfast was nothing just for the sake of name. The room service was bad, lot of noise at night time not good for family at all.

Poor Service and Food
The hotel is not terrible for comfort, and is maintained okay. However, there are many things that the hotel needs improvement on. First, the food is horrible. Second, the service people are not qualified. When asked to correct an issue, they seem courteous and polite, but never even attend to the issue. You can remind them ten times, but they always pretend they are going to attend to it, but never care about it. The wi-fi was not working. There were issues with soap/towel not present in the bathroom, and both of them were not attended to even after several hours of calling/reminding. You can get extremely frustrated with the service people's indifference. I'll never recommend this hotel

Great Ernakulam Hotel
Despite being on the Ernakulam side of Kochin which is a slightly less ideal position for a tourist this was a great hotel. Rooms were very modern and clean, staff were very helpful & friendly and price was low. Restaurant food was also excellent but would steer away from the buffet meals as not as good quality. Overall an excellent stay especially if arriving late from the airport!

NICE PLACE TO STAY...
Had a pleasant 2 day stay, nice place to stay in. Friendly and courteous staff, clean sheets and towels. Toilets and bathrooms were cleaned every day. Free wifi available in the restaurant and the lobby. Complementary breakfast buffet was OK, nothing great. Situated just off thee M.G Road, so easy to move around for shopping., etc.
