Nice hotel outside of the most touristy spot in Sydney. Lovely neighbourhood. Had some issues with the A/C first night, but staff were very attentive and immediately offered solutions. Very pleased! The room itself were big and well equipped. We did miss curtains (and bug screen) on my window, because it got really light. Also the A/C was placed directly over the bed, which isn't ideal. Beds were OKAY and firm, a tad bit too bouncy so could do with a mattress topper. All in all, highly recommend staying. Great place!

Sydney at its best . 😊
Perfect . Top location in a safe area , lots of great restaurants and cafes . Easy access from airport by train , and to the city by bus, train or a 20 minute walk . Hotel is in a beautiful, large terrace . Very welcoming reception staff , who escorted me to my room , 206.... and what a room . First floor at the front , full width of the terrace with a balcony overlooking the street . Contemporary , comfortable , bespoke furniture and fittings . I turned the aircon off , and with plenty of fresh air through the louvred french doors , I had the best night's sleep . I had the enjoyed the experience at the Medusa Hotel , and look forward to my next stay . Thanks guys . 😊

Best Sydney home base
Wow!! Can I give TEN stars?! What a way to end an epic 8week journey around NZ and Oz. Tommy is the most gracious host. And all the staff are knowledgeable about the area, offering specific things to do and places to see, especially great restaurants. So glad this was my home base in Sydney. Telling all my friends, and will definitely be back.

Not what we were expecting - old and dated property with no lifts. Lots of steep stairs. Carpets in central areas have seen better days. The bathroom was old and dated, toiletries not restocked during our 4 night stay. The bed was quite hard & had a large external wooden frame which was a magnet for shins - ouch. No duvets on the bed - old school woolen blankets - not the most sanitary option. The kitchenette was behind doors and kind of pokey to access.The small tv was way up high on top of the kitchen so difficult to watch. When we arrived to check in we’re told the room wouldn’t be ready for 20 mins which was fine - we left our luggage and walked to get lunch. When we arrived back after nearly an hour it still wasn’t - we’re told twice just give me 30 seconds but were kept waiting in the freezing lobby area for close to an hour. The good thing was its locations to lots of dining options and a short walk to Kings Cross station. Would not stay here again though.
