Heavenly
My Daughter and I did a girls getaway. The hotel was fantastic. The huge fire with chairs surrounding it was a perfect place to sit and read a book. Although it rained every day, the hotel offered boots and umbrellas to use. The setting is so serene and the employees are very friendly and helpful. They even offer turn down service…we felt like queens. I would definitely recommend this hotel for your stay in Monte Verdi.

I absolutely loved the dining experience here! The food was quality was excellent. I will say they do need have ventilation in their units as the condensation makes everything totally wet. Also, the drive up is unpaved and very bumpy. Get an all wheel drive rental. I do still recommend this place and I would stay here again.

Very friendly staff and great restaurant. Beautiful view from the restaurant and bar. The food was fantastic! There is fun wildlife all around the property, all able to be viewed while having breakfast! However, We didn't like that this was a zip lining property, on the surrounding hiking trails there were many cables strangling large beautiful trees and noisy construction due to zip line maintenance. The rooms did not have a refrigerator or air-conditioning or heating or TV. A ceiling fan would have been nice. These conditions made the bedding moist and smelly. If you are planning on doing a night tour, I would recommend doing it at a different facility. A pleasant stay overall.

We stayed two nights at this hotel in August. It is a beautiful hotel with lovely staff and setting. However - beware of hidden charges. We booked a family suite for a 2 night stay through Expedia. We are a family of 3 with a 14yo but when we got to the hotel they were expecting an infant and charged us an extra $52 per night supplement ($104 in total which was an unpleasant surprise). We had not had this problem in any other hotels during our trip so this was disappointing (hence the 4 stars vs 5). Neither Expedia nor the hotel accepted there was a problem with the booking system (other hotels we booked added an extra person supplement at time of booking through Expedia). We asked Expedia for the information we provided at booking in case we had made a mistake but were told this was not possible.

We recently visited Monteverde and had an amazing experience. The staff are very attentive to our needs and assist in a very timely manner. They are excellent with customer service. The restaurant views are just breathtaking as you can see Toucans, a variety of different Costa Rican birds, and zipliners. (One minor recommendation is the rooms need to be updated and there is a lot of space and not very good utilization...)
