This place was spectacular (very underrated). We stayed at a free-standing casita room that was its own little building. The room was very clean and the air-conditioning worked beautifully (better than a $600 a night resort we stayed in earlier on this trip).
They provide nice umbrellas in the room (in case you find yourself caught in a tropical thunderstorm). The views are beautiful as you are really ingrained in the jungle and surrounded by beautiful foliage, trees, and flowers. It's a beautiful walk to the main building or pool. The breakfast is amazing and home-cooked to order. We had dinner at the restaurant as well and found it to be excellent and inexpensive (try the homemade hot sauce if you like a little spice).
The pool area is also lovely and open 24 hours. We enjoyed relaxing and gazing at the wildlife (monkeys, birds, lizards, etc.). Happy hour at the property is a great value as well. Hotel is close to the beach and Manuel Antonio national park. It's also a close walk to town for shopping and dining.
The staff were so hospitable and welcoming. They will let you trade your pool/beach towels as often as you would like. They also have an outdoor shower and another full bathroom in the pool area that you are welcome to use after check-out if you want to be clean for your journey after the beach or pool on your check-out day. This hotel was a steal at the price point. Highly recommended.
