My husband and I stayed for one night, as I've always wanted to stay here, and it was in a convenient location to an event we needed to attend the following morning.
I love how this hotel gives castle vibes. Beautiful and unique one-of-a-kind artwork, artifacts, and decor all over the place. It's fun just to spend a little time walking around the grounds, the lobby, and the outside of the buildings, looking at All of its grandeur.
The room itself had very old fashioned vibes. This was both good and not so good. Nice in the sense that you feel you're being transported back in time to a hundred years ago... But I think unfortunately some of the cloth wallpaper and pictures of the wall had seen better days. It was a very romantic room nonetheless. They bathroom did need a lock of miuld proof paint though.
The hallways all needed new carpets. Both the stairs and outside the rooms. Probably good if they got something which doesn't show stains easily, but still fits the decor.
The shining jewel was the restaurant and bar. Really nice drinks selection, both with and without alcohol. The bar and restaurant food menu selections were really amazing, and all of the food we are was superb! Service was excellent too. Dining room was beautiful both day and night!
The outside grounds are truly unique and very enjoyable. Although we unfortunately arrived a bit too late to take everything in on this trip, one can always visit another day.
All in all great experience. Just need TLC.
