Not too sure where to even begin! Upon arriving our first night and settling in, we noticed the lock wasn’t working on our sliding door. We let the front desk know, they tried to fix it, but later offered to move us to a different room. We gathered all of our stuff and moved to the new room; no big deal! Things happen. Here’s the kicker…no hot water. They mentioned there wasn’t a water heater. Also, the shower head is a pipe coming out of the wall that just shoots water out with intense pressure. If you were planning on visiting the Tamanique Falls, there’s no need, you’ll have a waterfall in your room. If all of that wasn’t enough, the showers leak. I guess the massive amount of pressure coming out of the makeshift shower head, leads water to flood all over your bathroom and into the small bedroom. Because of the flood, I had to use almost all of my towels to put on the floor and soak up the water. When I let the general manager (I believe his name was Jorge) know that I needed new towels because of the leak in my shower, he told me to go get the towels and return then to the front desk so that I can get new ones. Really? This is the type of hospitality I’m getting? Mind you, he asked to come see the leak because he said I probably wasn’t closing the shower door properly. When he realized the shower was faulty, he asked if I’d like the room cleaned since they “only clean rooms every 4 days”. He was extremely condescending. I’d write more, but I don’t have enough space.
