Called 911
Imagine laying in bed at 10:30 PM and hearing two men yelling outside your ground floor window. After 5 minutes of yelling and banging the gate, you finally get out of bed and peek out the blinds to see what’s going on. There, in the dark alley 2ft from your bed, was a man holding a large kitchen knife trying to break through the gate. Quick call to 911 (Miami police were great!) and a panic attack on the bathroom floor, the management took almost 2 hours to get back to us about moving rooms. Their solution was to move to another property at 1am.
At this point we were exhausted after a long, and now emotional, travel day. We would have fallen asleep waiting for them if it weren’t for the club music coming from down the street. It was so loud the window was literally rattling!
Also, upon check-in it was very apparent that the floors had not been vacuumed prior to our arrival. You could feel the dirt walking around and the bathroom was covered in hair.
