10/10 Exceptional

This is truly a 5 star hotel, the property is super nice and the service is amazing. We were debating to stay in South Lake Tahoe but chose this hotel instead and that was absolutely the best decision.

10/10 Exceptional

Upon check in we were given a complimentary suite upgrade at no additional charge. I was shocked but so pleasantly surprised because the rooms are $900 per night. We definitely got our moneys worth. Suite was fantastic!

Excellent, clean and well maintained. The staff is truly wonderful.
Eyad, 4-night trip

2/10 Poor

Deceptive status of the amenities. Not all were operational. Non-responsive staff. Housekeeping didn’t show up until late in the day. Difficulty getting vehicle from mandatory valet. Overpriced menu options. Location was beautiful, but a disappointing experience for what is supposed to be an elite level property.
JAMES, 3-night trip

8/10 Very good

All over is good, but you have to pay for every single step. If you want to seat at fire pit, you should book it and pay a lot of money. All fire pits were reserved, but for 3 days i didn't see and single person seating there.
Alla, 2-night trip

6/10 Good

Run down, food off and on...hot main, cold sides (that shouldn't be cold). Screwed up reservation, lost room, tried to fix it...staff was nice, tried their best, were a little green. I don't think I'd book this place again.
Paul, 1-night trip

4/10 Fair

Not many dining options . Seemed short staffed. Our room had no robes and phone not working. Rooms only had 2 small chairs for seating. Left a day early just not very impressed for what the rates are..
Michelle, 2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

The property by itself is 20min far from the lake. The picture of the lake in hotel booking pictures will confuse you, well just letting you know there is no lake or river around the hotel. It’s a totally different Ritz property that you can book separately from the hotel and stay there. They charge $800 per person and it’s only for 24hours or less to spend there. Yes I checked the map as well before I was booking and was wondering how come in the pictures I see lake in front of the hotel but on the map not.
Hripsime, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

The spa was the only disappointment at this property. We were charged an undisclosed service fee of $120.00. I don’t mind paying it however, nothing was mentioned at booking or at our arrival to the spa. The spa is small and has a very limited couples area.

10/10 Exceptional

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Ritz Carlton Lake Tahoe, and I must say, it was an absolutely unforgettable experience. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warmth and genuine hospitality from the staff. The attention to detail throughout my stay was truly remarkable. Every aspect of the hotel, from the beautifully appointed rooms to the exquisite dining options, showcased a commitment to excellence that is unrivaled. The level of care put into ensuring the comfort and satisfaction of guests was evident in every interaction. The staff at the Ritz Carlton Lake Tahoe went above and beyond to make my stay memorable. Their professionalism, courtesy, and willingness to accommodate any request was truly commendable. It's clear that they take great pride in their work and are dedicated to providing a top-notch experience for their guests. The location itself is a paradise for nature lovers, with breathtaking views and access to a wide range of outdoor activities. Whether you're a skier, hiker, or simply seeking a tranquil retreat, this resort offers something for everyone. I can wholeheartedly recommend the Ritz Carlton Lake Tahoe to anyone seeking a luxurious and unforgettable getaway. This establishment truly sets a standard of excellence in hospitality that is second to none. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

Staff is amazing. Pillows not so much.
3-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Beautiful resort

Great ambience. Excellent service. Delicious food. Clean rooms.
MARIA, 2-night trip

4/10 Fair

We reserved a "corner view" room with incredible views of the mountainside. Our view was of massive pool construction work accompanied by a LOT of noise. Concrete cutters, jack hammers, etc. The room was uninhabitable, and management should have known that and not put any guest in that room during the construction. They gave us a $300 credit on our $4000 charge. Seriously? Also was greeted with an empty mini-bar. What? There is nothing to do there in the summer. It's a winter resort. Don't go in the summer.
Richard, 3-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Loved location
Jaekwang, 3-night trip

6/10 Good

Not the greatest amenities for Summer. A little remote too if you want to be at the Lake. You’re looking at a 15-20 minute ride each way.

Amazing

I enjoy frequent visits here and is always a pleasure to stay
Patrick, 2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Overall, the properties wonderful the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating and most of all pet friendly. We love a resort that allows pets to come in any room you book. It is a win-win for the price point

We came for our 15th wedding anniversary. This would be my 26th Ritz Carlton I've stayed at. For some reason the price point was doubled for the time we selected to stay. Everyone was really nice. The staff was great but I definitely have some grievance. When I checked in I let them know it was a special day for us. I'm a gold bonvoy Marriott member and I'm use to getting upgraded upon arrival. I was told the property wasn't at capacity, but would be later because of the snow. The front desk manager said they gave me an upgrade...but the room was 30 rooms away from the elevator and small. Usually at the 5 star hotels we stay at for our anniversary celebrations they have flowers, cards, candy etc .. comp'd awaiting our arrival. We didn't get anything special like that and I felt slighted. Especially paying over 2k for two nights when the prices now are 500-600 nightly (for this time last week). The thing that made me most upset was upon check in we were told by the front desk that there was a shuttle that goes into Truckee. That it was free by the hotel..... Come to find out it's one man whose the driver for the hundred of people staying at the resort. We waited over 2 hours at one point to get back to our room. It was snowing and I understand it takes time to go up and down the mountain. But seeing this is a 5 star property....you expect more than the average accommodations. The driver was great but you can tell he was overwhelmed and being pressured by the hotel to hurry up.

The staff and service were excellent, and we had a great time. There was a leak in one of the faucets in the bathroom (both handles) which flooded the counter and ruined some make-up materials. Only that was negative. Our room number was 579
