Ameristar and horrible experience
The very day we arrived, we took notice of one of the beds having dirty sheets and dirty pillow cases. I asked 3x throughout the day for someone to please come change them. Twice to the front desk and one time directly to house keeping. Each time my response was 'yes'. But no one ever came. And during the times we asked we were gone. So, for that first night we had to improvise. The next morning I called house keeping again and asked for someone to change the bedding on the ONE bed, along with other basic needs. Trash pickup and clean towels. They don't have any signage to let them know to come in and do house keeping either. My mom was really irritated about this, being this was her 67th bday present/adventure from myself and fiance. We ended up pulling all sheets and blankets tossing them in the hallway just to be sure to have them replaced. Well, they did alright. They came in, grabbed trash replaced a few towels poured what liquid we had in the glass cups and put them right back (dirty) made one bed and just tossed folded sheets and blankets on the other bed for us to make ourselves. (The same bed we needed to have changed in the first place)
Their idea of comping us was a refund on my resort fee and I had to make the suggestion of giving us free buffet the next morning. Just to find out that what was supposed to be comped was not entirely covered and that we still owed money. I paid over a grand to stay at this place for 4 days and 3 nights. And we also gambled there
