Let’s start with the positives: the hotel is clean, and the newly recruited Filipino staff stand out—professional, friendly, and fluent in English, which is rare in Turkey’s tourism sector. Unfortunately, they’re the only highlight.
Food – A Disaster: Same dishes recycled daily—lots of kebabs, rice (who wants Özbek rice at every meal?), and uninspired desserts. There’s no creativity or variety: Mexican night had one vaguely Mexican dish, the rest were local; Italian night? More kebabs. Asian night? Just noodles. Overworked waiters barely manage orders, and construction / welding work in the restaurant starts sharp at 10:30.
Entertainment – Or Lack Thereof: Beyond hit-or-miss bands and piano players, there’s nothing. No disco, no sports activities, no proper kids' programs for anyone over 8. Even the much-advertised “free access” to Land of Legends isn’t worth it—rides only, no swimming, and weather-dependent. You can buy the tickets yourself for half-price in winter.
Service – Needs Improvement: Most staff are stressed, undertrained, and barely speak English. Receptionists struggled with simple room requests, made fun of my name, and lacked basic customer service skills. The only 2 bellboys were absent, we waited 45 minutes for help. Guest relations? All talk, no solutions. Even managers avoid guests and do nothing. Nobody in the entire hotel smiles.
Summary: Basic, boring, and not worth the money. Most staff are unwelcoming, Rixos brand quality is declining?
