This place like a low cost airline… everything is cheap… it’s a mess! I had to change 3 times rooms, service after 3 days, noisy people from the ghetto and sometimes police becouse they fight too… Do not try this place if you want to relax!! On the pictures it’s good , but reality going to hit you!!! Pool is so cold nobody could be swimming in it! Gym closed at Noon!!?? Actually the whole place like back in the 90s … just nothing changed… never again for us!!!

You get what you pay for
You get what you pay for. The rooms with the balcony are the most popular because of the great ocean view. The hotel has no parking lot but has a few spots close to the main entrance that you can use at your own risk. Our room door was crooked because the hinges were loose, and it took a significant effort to open or close it. The hotel should have known and fixed it since they cleaned the room before we arrived. We told the receptionist about it, but no one showed up on the first night. On the next day, we had to notify the reception desk again for them to come and fix it. We had 3 laptops with us but the room safe was broken, and they could not fix it. The room had AC but no heat; the first night was cold, and the blankets were our last resort. Breakfast is basic and poor. They charge extra for a custom-made omelet but only tell you it's extra after placing your order on paper. Our room access cards were disabled on the last day, i.e., before check-out time; we had to stop a couple of times at the reception desk to reset them.

Estadia , hotel antigo que não tem estacionamento e por dia você paga no prédio ao lado do hotel 40 dólares . Atendimento na recepção é muito ruim!! Café da manhã poderia ser mais organizado! O quarto limpam um dia sim outro não ! E o dia que limpou não trocou lixo do banheiro . Mas o quarto em si estava limpo , e colchão confortável . Mas isto tudo estou me referindo an ala nova do hotel onde piso é de madeira . Parte velha é carpete de tapete velho , então tem que olhar bem a estadia .

Not bad.
Hotel wasn’t bad, no parking and have to pay $30 to park at the hotel next door. Our TV in the room did not work properly the entire visit and was never taken care of. The AC was also something to be desired.

Not the gem it once was
We were pleasantly surprised that our room had been recently renovated and the ocean view was lovely. The price is good too. However, that was where pleasant ended. All vending machines are broken. The lobby and check-in are total chaos. Getting towels from the front desk is nearly impossible, and their “towel card system” is antiquated at best. We tried to watch the Super Bowl in the bar. All patrons were English speakers, but the bar tenders spoke Spanish, so that was the chosen feed. It’s Miami, so to be expected. Even so, inconsiderate. Staff was friendly, but it is clearly understaffed and nobody seems to be trained or know what’s happening. There is a sign in the lobby indicating a renovation is forthcoming, so perhaps there is hope? I used to love this place as a flight attendant, but its heyday is long past.

We have stayed at the sherry prior to Covid when it serviced only flight crews and have always enjoyed our stay. We enjoyed our stay on this trip. The only reason I rated fair in service is that yogurt was on the complimentary menu and was never available and bananas were hit or miss. Fruit had to be asked for. Upon check in the process for obtaining beach towels was confusing. Thank you!!!!

Weekend visit
Room 414 was dirty. There were stains on curtains, bedding. The bathroom had mildew in the shower. it was unacceptable. It smelled awful. The toilet didn't work either. We were moved to 818 -clean, with nice water view. Aside from 414, I would have given it a 4. The front desk staff was great. Parking is Valet at the Monte Carlo hotel next door. Their valets were wonderful. They do take cash only. The public lot only allows for 4 hrs at a time. The hotel has no parking.
