Food -Two thumbs and big toes down .
The overall stay was good, however the food was horrible. The market place buffet was nasty for breakfast lunch and dinner. The papala was at best ok. The ocean restaurants was mediocre. The best restaurants on the resort was the Koi restaurant. Overall, the stay was satisfactory, although the dining experience was disappointing. The buffet restaurant offered mediocre meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. the ocean restaurant was unremarkable. The only truly exceptional dining experience on the resort was at the Koi restaurant. The Valentine’s dinner was so bad that all four courses were disguising so much so that by the time our entree’s came we were disgusted . The steak for out entree was cooked so hard and the lobster was mushy. We sent it back and left before the last course was served. The entertainment for the valentine’s dinner was the best part of the dinning experience.

Overall, hotel is OK. Our room was clean enough. Unfortunately pillows are not comfortable at all and bad was not so comfy too. No full size mirror in the room. No great service at the restaurants and in buffets. Very poor choices of meat and fish, the veggies and fruits choices are good. No activities at the beach on adults section, the entertainment was not great. You are not getting good services at the beach bar if you are not giving a tip.

Quase tudo perfeito.
Quase tudo perfeito. O que deixou a desejar foram algumas coisas, vou citar elas aqui: Primeiro os restaurantes que precisam fazer reservas, a churrascaria "BRASILERA" Algo assim, que deveria ser um rodizio, extremamente ruim, a carne passava a cada 20min, e passou apenas 3x já e perguntaram se podiam recolher a mesa. segundo, sobre a divulgação das informações, teve festa na piscina, festa do branco e não ficamos sabendo de nada disso, pois no aplicativo, mostra apenas o que vai ter no adulto only, que sinceramente só tem Karaoke. As atividades do Adults Only, são voltada praticamente para os Idosos. Fora isso. Foi quase tudo perfeito.

Birthday trip
Firstly, the resort is new and very clean very well kept. I’ve been to Punta Cana numerous times but this is the first and more than likely the last stay at The Serenade. The food was not good at all and we weren’t able to book the steak house during our 4 night stay because they were all booked and only open on Friday and Saturday. It was very clear that most of the staff did NOT want to be there. Most had bad attitudes and were not friendly especially the bartenders. They(bartenders) talked about us in front of us not realizing we understood some of what they were saying. The nightly shows/entertainment were maybe an hour long and after that, everything(the resort) was dead. I will definitely stay somewhere else next time until they can work out the kinks.

The staff and cleanliness of the rooms/hotel was great! The food options really didn't change much daily. In our room the power went out at least once daily. I don't know if it was a power trip. But overall good.

Needs more entertainment on this side which is adults only. We found that it was very slippery around the property, out of group of 6 of us that we went with 4 of us slipped and fell , one of my friends injured his toe pretty bad. I think they need to fix this issue , having just wet floor signs does stop it from being slippery. Overall great resort the best one i’ve been too.

We stayed here with a group of 6 of us & each couple had their own room. Upon arrival the property is beautiful, but the rooms leave much to be desired. The doors and wood paneling around them were warping which made our door almost impossible to close. Another couple on our trip had a balcony door that wouldn’t latch & even after multiple requests to have it fixed it was not addressed. The mini fridge in another one of our rooms did not work & when called down to the desk to alert them that it was not cold, they sarcastically said “well it’s not a freezer”. The buffets were okay , the restaurants were very good!! I am celiac and there was basically nothing I could eat at the buffets (which is usually the case). Staff was really unaware of allergy handling. The beach was BEAUTIFUL! But beware of the locals trying to sell you items and excursions. They were truly relentless & the “security” on the beach felt useless. We didn’t really feel safe as these sellers were very pushy & didn’t take no for an answer. We’ve been to multiple other all inclusives in other countries and this was by far the worst with the on beach locals. The drinks and bars were great! Staff was mediocre & not very friendly. Not sure if we’d stay here again in traveling to the DR in the future!

Excellent service. Great food option. Nice property. The beach is walkable and really nice. The only really terrible moment- NIGHT CLUB! DJ playing garbage music. So you understand how bad it is, he constantly plays Latin folk songs. It's not even club music. People come to a nightclub to dance but just stand there for a while and leave. People constantly go to the DJ and ask to change the music but it doesn't help. Hotel management, solve this problem. I was at the hotel in March 2023 and November 2024. Nothing has changed. Is it really impossible to play club music in a nightclub?

When you arrive you will be greeted by beautiful women that make you feel like a long lost friend. They work for the resort and may offer discounts on the spa and excursions....you will figure it out. The staff are there to provide an experience for you and they may seem distant because of work expectations. The resort probably tells them not to ask for tips. They work really hard so do the right thing. The drinks were plentiful and delivered quicker and stiffer with tips. The food was really good with lots of healthy options. The young man at the butcher station is cool and will likely remember you after a day or so. The pools were big, nice, clean and the spacing of seats made them seem less crowded. Beach towel exchange at the middle pool. The beach was clean but the vendors are annoying af. There is a sand bar where you can walk out into the ocean almost 1000 feet from shore and the water is only 3-4 feet deep. Ideal if you have small children. Very peaceful. They need more lounge chairs on the beach. Entertainment was cool, live singers, shows in the theater, very lively piano bar and lobby bar at night. The room was huge, very comfortable and clean. The refrigerator was having a hard time keeping things cold and the TV had a mind of its own. You may lose track of time in the shower.....yeah its pretty nice. They have this beautiful tile throughout the resort. My only complaint is that it is slick at times and people are drinking. Be careful. Wash cloths are scarce.
