Beatle in the bed !!!cockroach on the sheets

was initially assigned room 202, but the door would not open, so I was given room 203. After lying down, I moved the pillow and found a cockroach, exactly as shown in the attached geo-locatable photos. I immediately went downstairs to complain. I was asked if I wanted a refund, but I declined because it was late, my luggage was already unpacked, and I just wanted to sleep. Instead, I was offered 15 USD. I explained that this was not sufficient, but we could discuss it in the morning. The next morning, when I raised the issue again, I was told that if I wanted a “fancy hotel” it was fully booked. I made clear I was not asking for a tip but that a 50% discount would have been a fair compensation. This was refused. I then said there was no problem, that they could keep the money they had proposed, and I would simply leave a truthful review. At this point, what I believe to be the owner started shouting and insulting me in front of other guests, and even threatened me to leave his property. I anticipate that he will deny these facts, but anyone who wishes to contact me can receive the photographic proof. Because I felt unsafe, I will also file a formal report with Expedia regardless of this review. In addition to the cockroach, the room itself was unclean: several hairs were on the floor, and a couple of long black hairs were in the bathtub.

Bathroom needs shelves and hooks for clothing. Also, there were no hand towels in the room. Pretty nice, though, and a great deal for the price.

Decent room worn out uncomfortable matress.

The room was decent but the bed should have been replaced a long time ago. Very uncomfortable bed, matress had large depressions on both sides and could feel the metal springs and bars really bad.

It was a good stay overall, however staff knocked on door at 7:30am. We did not answer. Come to find out that’s when you ask for clean towels? I did know this until we had to ask for towels. They did some renovations since last we stayed there. The room was clean, I love that they no longer have carpet floors!

Wonderful accomodation.

We drove a full day in pouring rain and reached the point of saying enough is enough it's time to stop for the day. We did a quick search on hotels.ca and the first place that popped up close to us was the Bostonian at a very decent price. Neither of us believe in spending big dollars just to sleep in a bed for one night then move on. We have never spent more than an average of $85 dollars for accomodation for one night. We booked in and couldn't believe how comfortable and clean the room was for the money spent. We grabbed something to eat from Taco Bell next door and enjoyed unwinding in our room. We were very impressed and happy with everything. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Good enough for rest.

Flooring was warped and coming up in places. A/c was off so room took a while to cool off. The a/c leaked water on the floor over night (good thing we did not have any bags by it). Kfc and taco bell are right next door. Good thing, bad thing, ahh it did not bother me. Came in late, so sleep and get up and go.

This was an older hotel so many amenities were not new, but everything we need worked as it should. When I booked my trip, I was very frantic since we were only in town for a funeral. I had forgotten to add my 17 year old daughter to the reservation. The lady that checked us in was very kind and understanding. She assured me that it would be no problem. I was grateful that she did not make me feel bad for having messed up. Customer service will be what brings me back here. The bed was very comfortable and was needed after the emotions of my day.

Good enough to stop for the night just to get some rest before hitting the road again the next morning. Woman who checked us in was friendly and recommended a great local Italian restaurant for dinner. We would consider staying here again.

Great overnight stop

Good stay overnight on our way home. Fast checking simple, comfortable room. The bed was one of the most comfortable ever. Had a microwave and fridge. Definitely a no frills place, would definitely stay here again
