We visit Reno about once a month and usually stay at the Atlantis. This weekend for whatever reason, the Atlantis didn’t have any player card rooms, and the retail rate they quoted for the weekend was unreasonable. As a result, we gave Peppermill a try
The bad: beware, they charge a $50 resort fee for retail stays. This jacked up the cost the roughly the same as the higher then expected Atlantis (which amass charges a fee, but will comp them for player card stays). These fees are getting out of hand, and we would skip it if we had to pay them in the future.
The Good: they were running a 6x comp points the weekend we stayed, which “almost” offset the resort fee (free food basically). We also noticed the slots are much less stingy than the Atlantis, noticeably so.
Summary: if they wave the stupid fees for players, it’s not a bad deal. If they don’t, we will keep with the Atlantis.
