Boutique Comfort and Value
First time stay at Le Coach, and it will be my “go-to” hotel for future visits to Montreal. The renovated three floors, reception and comptoir cafe in the lobby are stylish, compact and impeccably clean. Reception staff are bi-lingual and very cordial, always eager to assist and answer questions. On arrival and departure, I was assisted with my luggage to/from the third floor. When I inquired about taxi to the train, reception instead provided precise instructions for me to go by Metro (UQAM station immediately adjacent). Room amenities are high-end: toiletries, hair dryer, sheets/duvet/extra pillows. Floor so clean I could do my yoga practice in comfort. Hot water plentiful. Quiet. Warm in Montreal’s cold winter. Frank, at the reception/cafe, makes the perfect cafe latte! Location ideal with easy access to bus and train stations, metro, walking. Convenient to Village, Plateau, downtown, shopping, cafes. Walking to wide range of restaurants of all genres. Very safe. Le Coach is a well-managed boutique hotel that has extraordinary value for price.

Modest, renovated, comfortable
I feared the worst, but my budget just couldn’t pay more. Very pleasantly surprised. Excellent welcome, very friendly. Modest, of course, rooms on the small side but newly renovated, clean, charming. For a downtown room, close to Berri UQAM metro, you could not do better.

The hotel staff were all very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The location was ideal, a few minutes from a well-connected metro station including to Gare Centrale. The room was compact and very clean, in good condition, and cleaned excellently daily. The bed was comfortable and the room temperature was perfect. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Amazing hosts, subpar property
Best part of this place was the people. Incredible hosts. Remy really made sure we were taken care of, offered coffee, took our bags up.... you rarely see that at 4 star hotels. Otherwise the property is just a giant airbnb... you can hear other people in the hallways and their rooms fairly loudly.

Odor of week old forgotten wet laundry
Pro: the staff are courteous and friendly. The bed is comfortable and the room was clean, or well cleaned. Con: the main issue was there was a very strong odor of mildew emanating from the bathroom, even with its door shut. This was extremely unpleasant! It isn’t visible which is why I mention that it was clean, but the overall condition desperately needs attention and and update. The smell was as if someone forgot a load of wet laundrie in there for 2 weeks. This is something only the owner or manager can address! Cleaning staff are clearly doing a great job. A note to whomever is in charge of the rehab and wear & taear budget; Don’t be such a damn cheapskate ! You have wonderful people working for you, it’s unfair to your patrons to force them to sleep in such undignified conditions when everyone is working hard to make them happy - do YOUR part!

This hotel is reasonably priced an immaculately clean. Just completely spotless. It was also very quiet. The staff were friendly and helpful. I wish there had been a reading light instead of the uber cool floor lighting. I also wish I had been able to regulate the temperature in my room since I found it rather warm at night. (Ultimately I was able to regulate by opening the window, but that lets in street noise). There is no in-room coffee machine but they sell coffee downstairs in the lobby. The location is a bit scruffy, but very central and convenient. I would definitely come back to this place for the quiet, the cleanliness, and the price..
