We checked in and the host was distracted on a phone or tablet. She noticed me and was very polite, but was clearly scrambled and did not know where anything was. She was screaming to the back while 2 feet away from me and I thought that was unprofessional.
We finally get all our bags up the top floor and our key cards won't work. I then realize she never actually swiped the cards, just pulled them out of a box and gave them to us.
Later that night our wifi wont work. The error we received is that we did not exist in their system. We call the desk and they give us a guest password. We later get a call to the room (I assume a manger but not sure) asking how we got in the room and who checked us in. I guess we never actually got checked in and that is why we had so much trouble getting the things we paid for to work. She also forgot to charge me for the whole stay and had to call me back over to swipe my card again.
The room was dusty, dirty, smelled bad. under the sinks and around the corners there was so much grime, probably where the smell was coming from. Even the hallway, elevators were dirty and appeared to never have been cleaned or wiped down.
This was our go-to hotel choice, but we will never be back. We are officially done with this chain. I can get over the unprofessional treatment, but I cannot excuse the uncleanliness. There is no excuse. I expect what is advertised to be what we get, but this chain is clearly going downhill.
