Good Hotel, but senior staff is not friendly.
When we having breakfast in hotel canteen, a senior staff who don't speak English used his body language tried to compliant me that my kids was too loud. However, there was only my family in canteen and my kids actually are not loud. We were just talking to each other. His body language made me very uncomfortable.

Fantastiskt läge mitt i Rom, flera bra restauranger på gatan utanför och minilivs mittemot. 15 min promenad till järnvägsstationen 15 min till Pantheon, spanska trappan mfl och 6 minuter till Colosseum. 2 min till stor shoppinggatan. Att då hotellet var lite enklare vägdes upp till 200 % av ett fantastiskt läge och mycket bra pris. 100 m att gå till närmaste frukostöppna Trattoria 10m till närmsta Osteria (restaurang)

Not very welcoming and strict rules
Be aware that check out is a very early 10:00am (and hotel will send constant reminders/messages to check you’re leaving), there’s a €30 surcharge if you arrive after 8:00pm, there’s 5 keys - which is a real hassle, reception is not staffed all the time and the man hides in the dark behind closed swing doors. All in all, it was not very welcoming and a bit of a time warp. Location is good though and it’s on a quiet residential street.

It was a good stay for the price, the heating kept going up and down on its own and the lights in the bathroom were quite dim. Excellent location for tourists and great service from the front desk.

Hotel Artorius was exactly what we were looking for. The location was great with a view of the Colosseum as soon as we stepped outside the studio. Carla helped facilitate our early morning transportation to and from the airport and communication was instantaneous throughout our stay.

It is in a good location for the site seeing sites, yet away from them, staff are super friendly and helpful. Place is very clean and organized Will definitely stay there again once in Rome

Negatives: The rating on Expedia was Wonderful/Excellent. I would not say that based on our room. I’d say our room was maybe a FAIR at the highest. Our room was like a Motel 6 in the states. It was dark, gloomy, and in other building in the back of main hotel. We had no kettle until we asked for one. The AC was not consistent, had to get up to adjust in the middle of the night several time, but it did have a remote control. The bathroom shower flooded the bathroom so we used our towels to clean water up each time or spray to shower nozzle toward the opposite wall. For $260 a night, I felt it was not worth it compared to other hotels we could have stayed, but I went by the pictures and reviews. Maybe we just got an ugly bad room, maybe there are nicer rooms in the hotel. We did get clean towels each day, but bring your own soap & shampoo/conditioner. They only gave body liquid soap & 2 tiny bars of soap. Positives: The staff was wonderful, especially Lorenzo. He was helpful with restaurants.The location is great, but we like to walk. Don’t waste money on the train, as it doesn’t go to entire city. Be careful, I was picked pocketed on the express train back to the airport when leaving. Take a CAB instead!
