My son lost his backpack while checking out. He left it in the lobby in between the chairs. Because we were going on a cruise, time did not allow us to go back and get the backpack, but we did call and the staff said it was not there but would keep an eye out. We said please do as there were a pair of beats headphones and a tablet inside, the two important items. Upon returning from the cruise, we called the front desk and they informed us that a staff member did find the backpack exactly where he left it. Unfortunately, the headphones were stolen from the backpack and the tablet had attempted to be unlocked. The person was not successful in unlocking the tablet so they put the tablet back into the backpack but kept the headphones. We know this because the tablet informed us of too many attempts to log in, and the backpack was found exactly where it was left. If someone were to steal something from a backpack, I highly doubt they would go thru the trouble of placing it back where they found it, or rummage through it in the lobby, a public area. This makes me believe that a staff member stole the headphones. What an unfortunate thing to have this type of staff working for a commendable hotel. Because of this experience, we will not be staying at this particular hotel again.
